i need some advice on my army and what would my next figures should be
ive got =
10 csm with icon, leader and 2 flamers
7 noise marines with leader, blastmaster and sonicmaster
7 thousand sons
10 khorne berserkers with 2 plasma pistols
1 rhino (with either havok launcher or twinbolter)
1 predator (autocannon and side spousers of botlers and either havoc or twinbolter on top)
1 vindicator with twin bolter
1 chaos soucer (HQ)
6 mutaded marines possing as possessed
1 convert space marines dred to chaos with autocannon and missile launcher
3 bikes 1 is champion
at some point ill have a land raider when i get it back of my mates and convert it from SM to CSM
the forces ill mainly face are
space marines (blood angles and dark templar)
chaos space marines
maybee a tau force
i've got some good anti infantry but im thinking that my anti tank is really light. To make my army better what would i better of getting 1st when i have the money that is
squad of termies
lucius the eternal

lose the possessed and drop your zerkers to at most 9. 10 will be overkill. you could use the spared point to get another thousand son or noise marine.
you also need more rhinos.
for the possessed you could spend 150-60 on a squad of 4 termies. you also need a better HQ. add a DP or a SC. lucius is pretty good, but i find that if you take kharn and put him with some zerkers they will slaughter anything on the charge...anything. this will further give you more points to develop other parts of your list. i think 2 oblits would really round out your HS. a defiler isn't really needed as you have a vindi already, but what i would do is replace the pred with a defiler and then add two oblits. that would give you great anti-infantry AND anti-armor.
your force also has a pronounced lack of melta. melta is necessary in the 5th for chaos as we are very limited in what can carry multi-melta. i'd try to work some of those in somewhere....generally combi-meltas on termies can DS to deal with nasty armour on the other side. you can try DS'ing your oblits but they would be dead after one shot, and they are generally better served going on your side. what's on your bikers? if you put two melta on them that would be a great way to get melta deep early.
your mid presence is solid. this means you can do well before you get into cc. with the noise marines, a defiler, and a couple of oblits your long presence would be solid too. this just leaves CC. zerks are good, but i would recommend a good HQ to be effective. lucius, kharn, or a DP would be good here.
ive only used the possessed once and that was to make my points up as i didnt have a pred/dred at this point. so ill drop them and get some termies when i can ill put meltas on them to fill that hole in my army as well and use the land raider for their transport
ill get some oblits as well, as i like the way they work and for long range anti tank they'll be great and if troops get to closs the flameflowers will be great as well
for closs range ill prob get lucius being that i im painting my army for slaanesh
ill prob get a DP at some point or ill get the greater deamon of slaanesh more on points but will look good on the table hehe
1 of the bikes is fully glued so cant do anyhting with him but the 2nd has a chain sword fitted to him so i can find a melta arm and change that i could maybee loose the champion and give him a melta as well and hten just use hte bikes for range which would work
thankfully in the place that i play they dont use hte rule of what u see is what ui have so i can use my HQ as another untill i get the actull model and when i do ill put the chaos soucer with my thousand sons

got a meet up on tuesday so will try some thing out htere i cant buy any new models atm but as i said as long as i tell them what each unit is i cna get away with it for testing purpose's
allthough itll be the 2nd time ive actully played 1st time i played i lost big time going against 3 squads of closs combat troops 2 dreds and 2 predators + a squad of termies not fun for me so hopefully itll go better this time hehe
You could try putting meltas or plasmas on in place of flamers for your CSMs, and adding deamonic possession to your vindicator to keep it firing more of the time.
Otherwise I agree 100% with uber's ideas.

yer ive got possions on all my tanks now as i my 1st game i didnt have it and my vinidicator got stunned 3times in a row only got to use it for 1 turn before he blew the cannon up
ill prob look for some melts on ebay or summit and make some marines up got lots of spare marines lying around that i can add things to or i might ask some of the guys at the shop if they got any spare
just follow the basic rules of thumb for chaos, 1 full troop(10 CSM, 8 Berzerkers, 7 Plague) with a rhino for every 500 points, always an aspiring champion with a power fist. A DP with wings is the most cost effective and with warptime the most effective HQ we have, a sorcerer with warptime will do more every time than any form of lord. after that it is about maximizing heavies to work with your force. Oblits are the most versatile, but for my money defilers and vindicators are a lot scarier.
if you are going to run elites, a karmoon special(deepstriking with a chain fist, heavy flamer and combi weapons) seems to be the most effective for a suicide unit, or a unit of chosen with 4 special weapons in a rhino, either outflanking or infiltrating are favorites, but a properly used dread can add to your armor.
Everyone ... I mean EVERYONE ... will fire on a defiler first, so I don't have a soft spot for them. Two Oblit squads and a vindi are my babies. Damn, do they make a mess
Since I'm a Iron Warrior gal, I can't comment on CC troops much. I just don't use them, and thankful for it now with all the SWs, BAs, and GKs running around.
I prefer a DP with the LoS, which came to be a nice addition to my list, surprisingly.
Love the mess noise marines make, and I'm currently trying to make them fit into my list on a permanent basis.

il prob change the autocannon onthe pred to a twin linked lasscanon, ill be getting more rhinos, obliteratos and a defiler in the next few months
the list above has worked pretty well so far allthough ive not won a game yet im still learning and trying to work ways round dif armys last game i had was against tyranids and it was a fun battle my lord with the blisgiver took out 1 of his hq so fast it was funny well for me any way my 1 oblit took out anotehr of his hqs and my pred did the other the only prob i had is that i just got swarmed by loads of troops allthough i made the misstake of letting him charge but still once i get these finnal things i should improve alot more hopefully
