Am working on a FAAC Thousand Son Army that is legal mainly for 40k, dont play apoc.
Can people suggest units outside of the following (and how to arm) that keeps the models fluffy...
Tzeentch Lesser Daemons
Am thinking possibly possessed, based on the fluff from 1K sons book about when leman russ shoots a possessed 1k son infront of the Magnus.
Any other ideas?
Terminators and Chosen are pretty fluffy.
1-2 power/chain fists
Heavy flamer or reaper autocannon
2-3 power weapons
2-3 flamers/plasma guns/melta guns
I'd say vindicators and obliterators would fit in well with a tzeentch list. Hope this helps!
Aside from nurgle/slaanesh/khorne deamons i believe preatty much anything matches a tzeentch list no?
Praise be to the Emperor!!
Since Ahriman flies around and recruits promising acolytes from local cults I don't think marines are in short supply with him, rubrics are a constant number though, can't really recruit more of them...
Oblits are pretty fluffy being mercenaries and all, they'll fight for anyone that can offer them a piece of tech...
Yeah, possessed could be fluffy as well. Ahriman didn't like his brother 1k sons turning into spawns, but i bet he have no problems with seeing some "new recruits" turn possessed...might even be the result of some magic experimentation on his part...since I doubt that marines infused with 1k sons geneseed would stay unmutated for long...
win some, lose some
Normal marines would work, they would likely be treated somewhat as fodder unless they showed some good promise, so they would work in fluff, so long as they looked like they were dedicated to Tzeentch and such. I would say that yeah, rubrics are probably consistent, but at the same time, being as they are chaos and do things strangely and occasionally on the cruel side, I wouldn't really be terribly surprised if being turned into a rubric was some form of punishment, it certainly makes people much more easy to boss around. Hah
And yeah, I think that possessed work quite well if your going to get new 1k Sons recruits, not necessarily because of the gene-seed, but more because of the non-rubric factor of someone being dedicated to Tzeentch aspect. From what I gather he likes to mutate people and such... And who better to help mutate someone than a daemon thats dedicated to you 100%?
