heya, so im on the edge of buying one of those bad boys, but im woundering if anyone here has ever played with any of them? So please rate them on a list or however you like it.
Angrath is an absolute beast, theres no doubt about it. But nothing takes down characters/monstrous creatures/gargantuan creatures like scabie(something). Yes angrath can instakill things under T5, but with that many eternal warriors and big (T6+) stuff floating around, hes really just a beefed up BT.
Now scabie is amazing in my opinion. ridiculously high toughness and wounds, and WS9 for some reason along with S8. But his real bonus is in his ability to have attack in the shooting phase as well as the assault phase, also doubling the number of wounds he causes is brilliant.
Now I have bought both just because of how badass they look and intend on owning all 4, once again just for the look of all 4 on the board at one time. But when it comes to choosing out of the 4, I think it comes down to either angrath or scabie(something). My pick would be Scabie(something) just because I'm a nurgle guy at heart.
When in doubt, more Bloodcrushers
An'ggrath is on its way to me as we speak, i hope anyway Yes, Scabeiathrax is a beast and i do love hes weapon special rule, i've been thining of making him out of building foam, the stuff that expands and sets hard after some time.
Just finished an Apocalypse game only a few hours ago and our Chaos player (I am a Chaos player too but I was running the event!) ran An'ggrath and he destroyed an Ork Stompa in close combat. He really did well and the player was very happy with him. I think the model is very sexy and you are going to be really happy with it too. Another option as a Chaos player is a Silver Tower of Tzeentch which I made from scratch and played in the last Apocalypse game. For only 400 points you get D6 Bolts of Change and a Destroyer weapon. Also, any of your units within 6" of it get a 4+ cover save. I made mine from foam and it looks pretty good, although I am not a power crafter like some of you guys out there.
