I just wanted to know from you guys what would be better to take against a full Nob Squad equipped with Power Klawz in close combat, Terminators, Possessed Marines or Chosen Marines? Oh & what equipment would good to take? Now i don't really care if i win or lose & it also might be crazy but that's how me & my brother play but it's just for fun to see what would happen lol, or i was thinking MAYBE... just maybe a squad of Khorne Berzerkers thanx.
depends if they are in mega armour or not.
Terminators with lightning claws if they are, Berzerkers if they're not .
I agree with Null. If they are not in Mega Armor make them take a ton of saves with the Berzerkers, even if they are in 'Evy armor they should die pretty quick, granted they will need to fail 20+ saves but even if they don't the squad will cost 500+ points if his unit is 10 strong. If they are Mega Armored Nobs I would shoot at them for a bit first as they are slow and whittle down the numbers. They will still be a handful with 5 Twin-Claw terminators, you can even give them IoK and it's still about about half the cost of his 10 man unit (depending on how they are armed) that have no invulnerable save. You will need the charge if you want to have a better chance, and you won't want to face them at full Str. you need to thin them out.
One thing that would help a ton is a Slaanesh Lord with Daemon Weapon. Hits on 3s wounds on 4s with instant death basically does double the wounds per attack then the Terminators do and he can have 10 attacks on the charge. He would have the potential to wipe the squad solo on the charge, but the likelihood is very, very low but he will increase your chances of winning combat by a ton. And for only 135 points.
Termies with lightning claws get extra attacks AND rerolls on the to-wound phase of close combat. If you got points to spare, give them the MoK.
Innovation suffuses this hobby like a tea bag in the boiling water of play.
LC Terminators are the way to go, even more so if the Nobz have a Painboy with them. MoK, double-LCs and all Champions if you REALLY feel like blowing some points on a unit that shreds stuff. MoT is good if you fear you won't kill all the Nobz in one fell swoop.
Terminators can also Heavy Flame them on your way in, if you are close enough, and <very importantly> if you will not kill so many that the figures they will remove will put them out of charge range.
Just to play devil's advocate, and because you said you wanted something fun to see what would happen, I'm going to say Possessed with Mark of Tzeentch. Strength of 5, 4++ invulnerable, and you have a 1/2 chance to get a helpful special rule (Furious Charge, Rending, Power Weapons).
But that might be because I love using Possessed and the dice roll for their rule has usually helped me out.
I'd take a Zerker Squad...
They hit on 3s, wound on 3s, have 4 attacks on the charge and can fire pistols at them before charging in...
Pistols = 1,675 wounds
cc attacks = 8,0802 wounds
pf attacks = 2,278 wounds
...and then the nobs would inflict 12 wounds back...
though...with the nobs being a wee bit pricy, you have the options of running two such squads and completely wipe them out before they can strike!
...or just shoot at them with a defiler and kill them off from range! Boom ID!
win some, lose some
