Played 3 Tournament Rounds on Sunday. I hope you Enjoy Seeing some Solid Results from our codex
-My First game was against Blob spam Imperial guard. Just lots of Guardsmen....Lots and lots of Guardsmen, and 2 Leman Russ's. The game was a kill Points mission. It was a very vicious battle, but he didnt have enough turns for his gunline to be effective, and I ended up eating every one of his Skulls. On Turn 2 My Entire Army was in Assualt Distance, and I erased two 40 Man Blobs in Combat. After that it was a DownHill Fight for him, he did not have enough FirePower to Spread around, and basically I was just chasing after Command Squads. 1500 Victory Points, and 9 kill points for me, I tabled Him.
-Second Game Comers Space Wolves. He Had 3 Grey Hunter Packs, 2 rhinos and 1 LazorBack..3 LandSpeeders with typhoons and Heavy Bolters, 2 LongFang Packs, Njal the StormCaller,Some Wolf Guard to Spread around and a Pack of Scouts. It was an Objective Game, but this time you get an objective point at the end of your turn if you are controlling an objective, not just at the end of the game. The battle was very back and Forth, but I Tabled him on turn 6. Basically, I out manuvered him with my Chariots and after Weakening his units, I finished them off one by one with my Fiends. My Princes found his Long Fang Packs and Ate them. The Game Ended when I tabled him, and he got 11 Points and I had 10, OH Yeah and I received another 1500 Victory Points
-Game Three was against Yet Another Space Wolves player. He Had almost an Identical List to the Second Game Space Wolf Player. Some Wolf Guard, three Grey Hunter Packs, 2 Long Fang Packs, 3 Land Speeders and 2 Priests, no scouts though because he had his Wolf Guard and Grey Hunters armed heavyer. This Game was a Gigantic Tactical **** up for me. He was Turbo Boosting in every Direction, and was acting as if he was trying to do stuff he wasnt actually doing, wasting turns in order to make me move places I shouldnt have....Regardless it was a capture and control mission. Again, you had to claim an objective Point at the End of every Round, and he got First Turn so instantly started gaining points. Second turn I deepstruck to far away from my own objective, so I decided to try my best to remove all his models from the table and gain a moral victory for myself. He won the Game with 6 objective Points, but he only had 1 LandSpeeder Working on Turn 5........we ran out of time and the store was closing soon...or else I would have had the rest of his Models. Sadly though I only got 1325 victory Points....but that is 4325/4500 so im Pretty Happy.
Was a Great Day and played against some Great Friends. They keep Reminding me that this game was meant for good people to meet up and have fun and make friends. I didnt feel so bad at this tournament for spamming awesome stuff from our book because everyone else was too. Their was a Dark Eldar Player who had 8 venoms, and a Blood Angels player who Brough 5 Predators, and a facking Grey Knight Player who Brought 10 Palladins. So it was a Pretty Cheesy day for everyone, but we were all having lots of fun, sort of a mini Ard Boys Tournament.
Good for you sir, and a nice looking tournament list. 7 bolts in 1500 points should be nasty.
Quorn! - Protein for the Protein God.
The Seven Bolts of Change really has been helping a lot. Anytime I fire at a light Vehicle with the Deamon Princes, or side armor, all i look for is a 3+ for the most part. so that is a 2+ followed by a 3+ on most vehicles in the game and its either stopped for a turn, or it blows up because of the AP1.
Bravo! I loved you last comment especially on the fun, thats what the hobby is for!! =D
