Ok i have my daemon prince set up realy well i thought. till i fought some bull necron god. i was wondering does n e one have some suggestions that would help me make a more efficient daemon prince. my army is basicly a cc army 24 khorne bezerkers 18 normal troops 2 oblitorators a defiler rhino a havok squad o and a aspiring champion of khorne that i use for my lutenant. so i basicly have a khorne army id like the daemon prince to stick along those lines. basicly a god in close combat.

If it was a Nightbringer you fought (looks like the Grim Reaper) then I wouldn't feel too bad about losing to it. Unless you can kill it on your initial charge (Princes have a higher initiative stat I believe) then any Daemon Prince will most likely die. Since the Nightbringer has S10, you only have to fail one Inv. save against it's 5 attacks and you get double toughed.
Daemonic Rune would help with that, though its not a cheap ability.
Someone correct me if I'm mistaken about anything.
yes it was the night bringer. and he was using this stupid ass ability that he runs away in my assault phase does that overide my initive because i have furious charge and it makes it higher than his. so do i still get to attack. or does he get to run like a fricken pansy. and i have daemonic rune its saved my butt a few times. well worth the points

what ability lets him run away..he has one that makes you back up, but thats it...
if your DP has mk of khorne and you get baited into fighting the nightbringer than demonic rune is a must...combine that with a dreadaxe and thats your best chance if bringin him down..best tactic is to usually avoid the guy and concentrate on phasing out the warriors but if you are marked khorne then you usuaully dont get to pick your fights
hes a beyatch to kill but it gives you massive braggin rights, even if you lose the battle
what a long strange trip its been
You or your opponent might be mistaken about the C'tan (Necron God) you fought. The Nightbringer is a beast in close combat, but he is not able to voluntarily withdraw from combat. However, the Deceiver, the other C'tan, is in fact able to voluntarily withdraw during the opponent's phase of the assault phase. So either you faced the Deceiver, which by the way does not have a str 10, or your opponent was mixing his rules, shame on him.
Even a deciever is a tough customer because of the "I think you guys can have fun punching this inflatible deciever doll" thing and his 5 init.
ok ive checked out what he did. he combined the 2 things and used the better stats for each catagorie and it was the deciver model. so i need to slap him the next time i see him. that is a cheap ability by the way that stupid running away thing what a pansy. o question on that am i able to sweeping advance on him if he dose thta to get out in the open and own that stupid ctan. and i was just asking like for general ideas for a khorne daemon prince i already have daemonic rune and a dread axe. what are some other abilities that might be helpfull for him

spiky bits and master crafted are both very good options as is melta bombs for the occasional tank.
The C'tan macman fought was the deciever...i went home and checked on the stats and it was defineatly the deciever even though he seemed too good in CC. so he uses "misdirection" or something like that. The necron also should have phased out, but everyone forgot...
anyways if i had to tell you what to do i would say forget about him... and next time remind him about the phase out rule.
the deciever did nothing he was useless. all he did was distract your daemon prince and kill 4 khorne beskers... all you have to do it forget about him. he didnt do any damage, all he did was confuse you and make you waste your daemon prince by not letting him charge any significant amount of necrons.
(i just realized that that is what the deciever does in the fluff too! he doesnt beat you in fighting... he beats you in your mind! how awesome is that!?)
sounds prety gay actualy but it does make sence he is like an over sized gretchen that wont fricken die. and he did do some damage remember pat he put 3 wounds on my fricken daemon prince and i only put one on him because of a crapy roll. it was close too but then we had to end the game but i still one. total slaughter in points left. o and thanx tirck for telling that stupid necron player how to fight me u basicly have him my strategy. dont matter though we still one. u need to use ur harly queens next time and we will own in cc nobody can stop us muahahahahahahahahahaha ha
