Me and my cousin are basicly Space Marine players so we both decided (having grown tired of being the Golden Corpse's puppets) That we're gonna go in it togeter on a rediculously massive chaos army.So I'm trying to make a renegade Marine chapter, but either the Impreial Dogma is too ingrained into my mind,or I'm a complete idiot (the more likely scenario) but I can't come up with a decent list.I want it to be undivided, but I want as diverse an army as humanly possible.I know I want some Slaanesh boys in there, but I don't know if I can pull it off, being undivided in all.Any advice you could give me is welcome, but I'd mainly like to know what to stay away from.So far I've got the Lord and two marine squads (one of which is a squad of White Scars with some chaos graffiti and trophies on 'em).If I get a squad of Slaany boys they would count as an elite chice correct? And since Slanny and Khorne are opposing forces is it entirely unfluffy to have them in the same army or is it reasonable to say that they'd work together for a common goal?
Opposite means exactly that. If you chuck slaanesh into an army with khorne it doesn't matter if you separate them and lock them in their rhinos they'll kill each other. Khorne+Slaanesh=lots of dead guys. So no you can't, even in an united army. I would suggest possibly a khorne lord if you want loads of attacks and CC power, Tzeech if you want a lord that can pop landraiders and then go toe to toe with anything, Slaanesh if you want a very fast in CC lord with lots of options and Nurgle if you want something that's bloody hard to kill and has nice special skills.
Once you pick your main army theme, wether it be undivided or any of the 4 gods you then have 2-4 choices of "allied" gods. So you could do your main troops as slaanesh noise marines and then run a squad of two wound tzeech terminators. Or you could have a bunch of tough nurgle marines as your main troops and then have a squad of khorne axe freaks hiding in a rhino or land raider just waiting to unload a mess of hurt on someone.
actually it isn't unfluffy to have them both, they will allie themselves but only under the command of a powerfull Warmaster.
You can put both of them in the army as long as you have a Lord with the MoCU or no mark at all, now both of these 2 units will become elites.
He takes up 1 HQ slot from the FOC, he is a cheaper alternatieve to the Lord
you guys own.I got one last question for ya though.I'm thinkin' I'm gonn use alpha Liegon rules (just the rules..the army's gonna probably be called The Forsaken or something creepy like that) because the way they work is a lot like the fluff i made for my guys.Other then the cultists are there any special rules for them I should know about?
No deamons. So no bloodletters or flamers
Score.I wasn't gonna have any daemons in the army anyways.
actually they do get to use deamons but only the deamonic packs, so no greater deamons and no deamonic beasts
Though you need cultists to summen them onto the battlefield
It's not unfluffy to include slaanesh and khorne in your army if you collect something black legionish. Because Abbadon is such a powerful lord they can include the warriors of any of the gods as an elites choice all wrapped up in a nice little package... ^_^
