I know you guys get this a lot, but I have narrowed down my army choices to two armies, Iron Warriors and Thousand Sons. I know a good bit about the Iron Warriors, but Thousand Sons seem like wasted points. Since their regular squads and move and shoot thier heavy weapons, it looks good, but for 24 pts? Look at DH Grey Knights, they get ws 5 str6(Force Weapon) and assault 2 stormbolters. My only concern is, are they worht playing and has anyone really done well with a thousand sons army? I like to be able to shoot and do combat decently. Iron warriors are cool, but I hate how bolters can't move and get good distance. Of course, a emporer children isn't out either, but their models aren't exactly stunning.
THOASAND SONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!& #33;!!!!!!
dont go iron warriors they are so boring and alot of people use them

I actually have a slug living in YOU, right now...
Slowly will start playing: Iyanden, and Chaos.
well both armies are into shooting a lot.
powerfull psychic powers
less good in cc
no deamons except possesssed or deamon prince
powerfull ranged units
no pushovers in cc
this is about short, you should pick the style of the army that appeals to you most, oe either read through the fluff of both armies and see which you like more
if you have any questions regarding the IW or their fluff just PM me
The cant hold heavy weapons. The 24 points are for an extra wounds and always passing pychic tests.Originally posted by hotspike18@Dec 19 2004, 10:17

If your starting for your first time, it recomend iron warriors for they play easier. Thousand Sons are hard to play, even if your not new to 40K.
If you like lots and lots of heavy guns- battle cannons(vindicator, basilisk ), lascannons- you name it, go Iron Warriors.
If you like tough troops with sorcerors with sweet powers go Tzeetnch. I also might add that tzeentch have some nice termies (2 wounds are nice).
Iron Within, Iron Without.
Ich HeiÃe Bismarck.
Yous hould read the Iron Warrior topic done by BiD at the top of the page. I recomend Iron Warriors as I'm an IW player and I think they're easyier to use than TS.

Iron Warriors are a lot cooler and better. They get up to 9 Obliterators!
Mass murda makes me happy!
Dead bodies make me happy!
We'll always have the Juggalo Family!
Yep, and that along the fact that we get more heavy support and other goodies causes a lot of people at tournaments to call them cheese.Iron Warriors are a lot cooler and better. They get up to 9 Obliterators!
But still it is just an excuse for them foor beeing too lazy to handle it or for the other guy to be a bit constructieve.
But it also offers some nice conversion oppertunities
Iron Warriors all the way. Not only do they look awesome, but they can outshoot almost anything, then hold their own in combat too!!! Plus they have great background fluff too...
...And I shall be there, waiting, at the gates of hell, you shall not escape my wrath!
for good background I would suggest the novel "Storm of Iron", it's a great source of fluff and information for anyone who wants to play IW
Does anyone here actually have any play experience with a Thousand Sons army?
