I'm going to start 40k, and I've chosen for chaos cause they look cool, and can are very flexible.

I first wanted to know which chapter fits my description:
An army which shoots while walking forward, then assaults the enemy lines, and has some units which can attack in the back (for as a surprise) and some which can shoot and thin down units.

I also would like to know if the bataillon box is any good.
Cause there are 10 khorne berzerkers in it, but maybe i won't play khorne :hmm:
It also has only 8 chaos space marines.

Could you people also suggest a starting force with the chapter you think sukits my style, of about 100 euro's??

Already thanked

Good at shooting and awesome in assault- slaanesh. It's the only way. And all that stuff about leaving some units to assault afterwards - thats tactics, it can be done with any army. Check the tacticas.
The only difference between tattooed people and non-tattooed people is that tattooed people are awesome and can kick your ass.

I meant units which can infiltrate or something like that.

that can attack the enemy in the rear, so he is attacked from 2 sides.

I heard black legion and night lords are good and fun choices.

but could you answer my other questions too pleasse??

I have to make a list for what I want tommorow for my birthday, so..

Well a Slaanesh (Noise Marines) army or a Nurgle (Plague Marines) army come to mind for the tactic you describe.

Slaanesh troops are known for delivering a hail of fire while marching toward the ennemy, I don't know about their close combat abilities tho, I think its not that good. Plague Marines also use the tactic you want and they are really Tough units (toughness of 5). They can't shoot like the Noise Marines do, but they deliver the goods when they get in close combat as they have the true grit ability (they can use a bolter as a bolt pistol for CC purpose). They also have some specials like Nurgle's Rot that is awesome against infantry.

Night Lords are a fast attack army, all raptors, bike, stealth adepts and infiltration. They don't actually walk accross the board to get there, the infiltrate, fly or ride to it.

There are no army box for all of those mentionned above but you can buy squads of Noise Marines, Death Guards (Plague Marines) or Night Lords. Take a boxed squad of Chaos Havoc, a Defiler, a Dreadnought and a Predator and you should be good. I don't recommend the Chaos Megaforce its not worth it if you want a Cult army.

I'd say tzeentch if you wanted good ranged, but shud go w/ slaanesh. Use raptors to get them in the back, then charge forward w/ everything else.

He wants to fire, then assault, not stay stationary, and fire. So no go on the Tzeentch.

Slaanesh can do well, as they have assault2 weapons, and their enemies are at -1I.

Night Lords are very fast, and usually assault.

Alpha Legion are all infiltrators and are in low numbers.

I would reccomend any one of these armies. My favorite is the Slaanesh. They can either shoot assault2 or heavy3 24" S4 AP5 shots. They also get other cool guns.

Well, Slaaneesh would be your best bet probably, possibly tzeentch, but ont as fast reacting as most. Perhaps Iron Warriors, they shoot a lot, but you can boost their combat abilities as well. But from what you describe probably Slaneesh.

I've looked through the army book again, and decided this:

-I don't like deamons very much, so world bearers are down.
(as my choice)
-black legion has got no special rules, so is boring.

-Khorne can be uncontrollable sometimes, and that's really irritating,so they won't be mine.

-tzeentch is much too slow.

-Night lords are fast and look cool, they are on place nr.3 at this time.

-Alpha legion sound very cool, with the army being able to show up everywhere
I like that ability very much, and they are at nr2 now.

-Slaanesh have some good combat, but also shooting with medium range, that is powerfull.they also are fearless, so won't run away if they get shot at while attacking.they are my Nr1 at this time.

I think I will choose Slaanesh, but don't really know what to buy.
Does this sound like a good start:

-2 boxes of chaos space marines
-1 chaos predator
-1 chaos lord

What do you think of that??

Buy boxes of Emporers Children. They're basically the standard Chaos Marine Boxes with extra Slaaneshy bits thown in.

I don't know if you're swimming in cash, but one look at Forge World's Chaos Dreadnoughts and you'll wish you were.
