I have a WE army and I just have a couple of questions. Do bloodletters in a WE army have blood frenzy? Also a dumb question, is a units charge range for assault their movement range (discounting any special modifiers.) ie. Can you move 6" with infantry and then charge 6" in the assault phase? Would bikes be able to charge 12"?
Bloodletters don't have blood frenzy so they move at their normal speed with no added inches. As for the charge range, I believe it is sufficiently explained in the rulebook.
movement and assault are two different movements.
they are not connected at all.
Take my words with a grain of salt, i am not the tactical genius i think i am!
If nobody has noticed, most of the warhammer rulebooks are a mess. I love the game but, unlike most other tabletop/rpg games I've played (warmachine is a good example), nothing is compartmentalized and you have to flip back and forth through the manual to find what you need. I'm looking at pages 36-38 of the rulebook (the movement portion of the assault phase) and nowhere does it state how far a charge is. I remember reading that it was 6", but I don't remember where. Also, I know movement and assault are two different movements. So to reiterate: if troops move 6" in their movement phase, can they charge 6" in the assault phase? Can bikes move 12" in the movement phase and charge 12" in the assault phase? Lastly, thanks idinos for answering re. bloodletters. I was 90% sure that was the case but had to check.
When we say they arent connected, we mean what you do in one has no affect on what happens in the other. So bikes can charge 18", nids 24" etc. when you consider the entire turn.
Bikes cant charge 12" since this is not mentioned in their special rules.

Unless stated otherwise everything moves 6 and charges 6. It is stated that bikes can move 12, but this does not change their charge range of 6. likewise, it is stated that cavalry can charge 12, but this does not affect their move of 6.
Bloodletters do not have blood frenzy exactly, but they do have a special rule that forces them to charge whenever they can, which is part of the blood frenzy rule too.
