P.264 BGB, models with steeds count as beasts. Mmm.... fleet.....
The rules for the Steed of Slaanesh says that you recieve d.mutation and d.speed, for [Points cost removed] The steed entry in the daemonic gifts section costs the same, and the description says something allong the lines of 'there are lots of different types steeds. It gives you d.resilience. look in the books of chaos for more.' Do I still recieve d.resilience, on top of mutation, speed and fleet? I very much doubt it and don't actually mind- fleet......
It's a long shot at a badly worded description. I still plan on doing it, regardless of whether this is right. You save 5 points from the steed as opposed to having mutation and speed, and get fleet on top of that!
If a Chaos Codex armoury entry says "Steed." at the beginning, that only means it follows the rules for steeds on page 16 of the codex. It does not confer movement as cavalry, or Daemonic Resilience. It only confers the rules that apply in the relevant entry.
So your "Steed of Slaanesh" entry gives you Mutation and Speed only. (Speed of course means you assault 12" and can Fleet of Foot.)
