We would, if we knew what kind of advice you wanted. I assume you want to know what units you should take, but you've already said you want loads of traitors. Nice way of thinking; you wouldn't happen be an emissary of the hive mind as well, would you?
Make your post more specific and we may be able to help more.
Beyond that, all I can give you is ideas on army composition: Aspring Champion Leaders, Furies and some Forklift Sentinels (if they're permittted) in a 1,000 point force. I've been playing orks or nids for most of my time in 40k, so having a shooty army is a completely new thing.
That still doesn't help! What are you asking for? What legion of champion/mutants? Do you want lots of tanks? (most certainly)
Please say if I'm appearing rather rude. I've had a crap day.
Think happy thoughts ....
if what you want is a lot of imperial guardsmen shooting away with sentinels, then IG would be a lot better, as the LATD only allows you to have 90 guardsmen(15 max per squad) and with IG you can have a lot more, i think it's 30 odd(i couldn't afford the IG codex when i started LATD and i can't be bothered to buy it now). if you want a shooty horde latd army, then go for a lot of mutants with fire arms(you can have up to 180).
if you are reading this signature, then you are wasting you're time, and i am wasting my time by writing it, so run along now, jimmy, run along.
well imo, traitor heavy guard isn't going to get any farther than a normal ig army?
rather play IG, and call them chaos?
Firearms will kill your own mutants faster than your enemy. I would give the mutants the Bloated gift, that way they have a save against bolter fire and similar weapons.
(Personally I use lots of Plague Zombies, but they're too slow)
Traitor squads with infiltrate (or a chimera, although that makes them a Fast choice), missile launchers and grenade launchers or plasma guns and you're good to go.
If you take tanks, take more than one, you wont be able to present as many armoured targets as an IG army, so you will need the backup.
Spawn... they're not shooty but they've got tons of wounds and they attract fire like nobodies business, I always use a unit of 5 of these bad boys.
You might wanna consider taking some deamons, they can be a nice shock element, especially if you're mainly using traitors.

And miss out on flavour? Maybe I should explain; I've been fascinated by the idea of cults (Chaos of Genstealer) ever since I heard about them several years ago. LatD gives me an opportunity to do that, although I don't particularly like the emphasis on gibbering hordes of Cletuses.Originally posted by Baratos@Feb 13 2005, 23:54

I was just wondering what kinda things to do on the battlefield with Traitors and their attendant trimmings (I admit I didn't make it clear monsieurcartier, I'm sorry), rather than rejig my army composition to end up with more limbs and less brains.
And yes, I do want to include dæmons. Although I'm not sure how many exactly, as I'm not sure what situations the traitors on their own will come up with.
