In what situations should I use a DP rather an just a normal lord? thanks, and yes I am a newbie :hmm:
There are numerous uses for either but I will just touch on a couple and let the rest of the community pick up the slack.Originally posted by True Chaos@Feb 23 2005, 13:35

Daemon Prince: High points games (1500-to infinity) where multiple daemonic gifts become more than a luxury, they help insure your survival! Exception: Games versus daemon hunters!!
Chaos Lord: Mid-range to high points (1000-to infinity) games where you can choose to go for terminator armor or riding a bike and still giving out decent amounts of daemonic gifts!
Chaos Lt: Low-range to mid-range points (400-999) games where you need to fill an HQ slot with a competent leader with a power weapon and maybe a daemonic gift or two.
I like to use Dp in tough situations. my friend has necrons and he usually fields
nightbringer so i use DP against him and Dp is usually the only one in my army that he fears so he is tough. especially with lots of daemon gifts. use dread axe against them with daemonic structure. no armour or invunerable saves!! he crapped himself
hope that helps

Also preferebly on a table with lots of cover, in a cityfight games they are awesome or against an army that doesn't have much long range firepower
