Ive used them in my Black Legion army as an infiltrating Fire base, mainly since all my troops are Zerks, so i lack a little in infantry fire power and the did fairly well, stuck em in some trees and let em blast away.

so if your thinking of doing it GO FOR IT, its a fun way to spice up your amry

You'll have to get the Tau Codex and read that if you want Kroot - unless it's in a White Dwarf somewhere.

I thinks its in the chapter approved. also it is also in the GW website. If its not on the US page it's in the UK page. Its classified as kroot mercenaries.

Says there it can be used by chaos players provided u feel the cumpolsary slots with chaos first before taking any kroot mercenaries. FYI

I don't see how Kroot are necessary for a chaos army, Chaos Is not built like tau so don't really need the tactical advantages that are provided by the Kroot.

    I liked having them because...

1 I can control them (My zerks get a little crazy and chase things they cant catch sometimes)

2 Shooting with Zerks dosent work, I dont do it dont see the point, Kroot helped out a lot.

3 It was great seeing the other players when my Kroot (I didnt tell them about) infiltraited in.

For my army it worked and it was fun, but my army is tooled up for c/c, the only thing in my black legion that shoots is my defiler and my havoc's
