Can anyone tell me is there some special rules or something somewhere for this because as far as i knew demons were as is and couldnt purchase anything. Is it in imperial armor i think its called? Can anyone tell me if there is any chaos stuff in there?
The GW United Kingdoms site has the statlines and information for daemonettes on steeds.
calvary (fleet of foot+12" charge)
That is where you can find information about them. They're nice units, but not really moreso than a Daemonette. For +12 points you get deamonic speed and daemonic mutation. That'd be all well and good if they weren't still T3. Regardless of how much more useful they are, Daemonettes or Mounted Daemonettes are going to charge one squad, slaughter that squad, then get shot to pieces. Being faster with one more attack isn't going to effect that. In either case it's a question of taking out a vital squad. And if you can do that for 80 less points, I'd go with the cheaper option, even if the chances are slightly less that you will kill the whole squad.
Beasts of Chaos (4000)
Chaos Marines (3000)
Mounted daemonettes are nowhere near as cost-effective as regular daemonettes. As Tones said, the extra speed counts for very little if you can summon the daemonettes on foot far enough down the field. If that happens they'll already be in combat and near enough to the rest of the fighting, or they'll be to far away and get shot at regardless.
I have to agree with you guys. I found a soft little stratey that works better with aemonettes, than their Steeded buddies (or sisters). Here goes: Take 5 Chosen (UNDIVIDED) Space Marines (Elite), pop them into a Rino or Land Raider. Make sure they have a "Demonic Icon". Ride up close, shoot some smokelaunchers and disembark the chosen. Next turn Summon the Daemonettes with out a scatter roll (because of the Daemon Icon) and charge your Enemy for 3 attacks and -1 to their Leadership.
If I'm wrong about this, let me know, but I tink it is sound...
You could do that, but it is irrelevant to cult armies. Which from your profile, you play. You are right in what you say, but if you have an emperors children army then you can't do that. If you do have an undivided force with slaaneshi allies, then by all means, this is a fairly good tactic, one which could be game-clinching. It would work a lot better as a counter-attack strategy, but it'd be a waste holding back a squad of chosen in a rhino.
