I was originally thinking about an undivided army, but now I'm starting to lean towards the Thousand Sons army (as having CSM's with 2 wonds is just amazing  )
What I would like to include in my army:
Greater Daemon -OR- a Daemon Prince
Some Daemon packs (possibley)
and of course CSM's
I was just wondering if anyone had any thoughts on which army is "better" (I know there balenced  )
If your gonna play Thousand Sons be prepared for a lot of losing when you begin, it's not an easy army to handle but once you have mastered it it is truly devastating
Like Dreachon said, TS can be difficult to play. Two wounds and lots of psykers is amazing, but the lack of heavy/special weapons in your squads can be a drawback.
Emperor's Children can pour out devestating firepower while on the move or standing, and do fairly well in close combat with warp scream.
Khorne is pretty much devestating in close combat (4 attacks on the charge for your basic troop with a 4+ save the best against it!), but a lot of people feel that there's a distinct lack of tactics with Khorne, as, for the most part, it's move towards the enemy, and either get into close combat with enough troops left to destroy them, or get shot up on the approach, more or less.
Nurgle is also very good -- high toughness troops that can also do decent in shooting or in close combat, and probably has the most efficient greater daemon, as far as points-for-effectiveness.
Also forgot that any non champion ins a squad suffers slow and purposfulOriginally Posted by Sithlet

Of course he can. You can have sorcerer DPs in other armies, so it'd be silly not to let TS have them.
Also, if you're starting out I'd advise against terminators. They eat up points like noones business and you have one of the most expensive troops in the game after Grey Knights and one other I can't remember. And slow and purposeful doesnt reduce Initiative anymore, so thats one less thing to worry about.
a good starting list woud be ike this.
HQ - SorcerorLord
Troop - 9 TS marines ( 1 boxed set gives you this )
Troop - horrors or famers ( or mix them ) to provide you with the essentia numbers your gonna need.
