Following the relaese of the new and spangly Space Marines Terminators boxed set, i got thinking and was wondering about purchasing a box of them to hevily convert and put into my DG army.
What do you guys think?
Should i do it or not, and if so then what special weapons do you think i should have?
I say go and convert them, I've done the same, plastic is esy to work with and using GS wll make things very easy for you.
As for what weapon I'd say definelty the reaperautocannon asthis will provide you with ome decent ranged firepower.
This depend by your strategy and your current list, now if you want them just for display and not for game then depends by your taste. As for the conversion is great, i have done the same for my Emperor's Children terminators painted in slaaneshi colours and lots of chaos bits.Should i do it or not, and if so then what special weapons do you think i should have?

Well, game wise and inside an army list they are not worth it IMO, even with 2 reaper autocannons... I've put a squad of terminator in a 3000 pts and they died the turn after they deep striked... again...
Go for it if you love terminators, I have 11 of them myself and barely play with them, if you take them to play give them a combi-bolter and a power fist, maybe one chain fist if ever you think you will need it, then put 2 reaper autocannons. For the champion you could equip him with a combi-melta and either a power fist or a power weapon.
I would deffinetly recommend some Death Guard termies. Mine work brilliantly, and stomped through half a WH army by themselves...
equipment? you cant go wrong with reaper autocannons.
So i sould have 2 reaper autocannon, 4 combi-bolters, and 1 combi-melta for the asp champ?
What you mean? That the terminators(Death Guard especially) are not worth it?No way.Chaos Terminators are very good, better than 'loyal' game wise and point wise.It all depends by your playstyle and your strategy, so it seems that you have made some serious mistakes there Thyr.Well, game wise and inside an army list they are not worth it IMO, even with 2 reaper autocannons... And of course reapper cannon is not teh ultimate weapon for termiantors.No.Well yes but it all dpends by your list and what opponets you face, for example if you are againist Tyranids or swarm armys a flamer or even a heavy flamer is better than reaper autocannon.About the cc weapons i will recomend mostly simple power weapons 1 or 2 powerfists and for your Aspiring champion a chainfist together with the combi-melta(Cause it looks nasty). So i sould have 2 reaper autocannon, 4 combi-bolters, and 1 combi-melta for the asp champ?

Also if you give them all power-weapons than you might want to consider in giving them the furious charge veteran skill.
I might be playing them the wrong way, but they seem to be the target to kill as soon as they are on the table and since they move so slow I want to put them where they will be able to shoot when they deep striked and after that assaut will all the might of their power fist... They never reach the point where they can do that, not as a squad over 50% anyway.Originally Posted by Nagato
Maybe I'll make them start on the border of the table next time so they can shoot more than one...
Chaos termies are definitely a great investment and death guard ones would be wicked
