I don't know if there is a topic about tactics with Word Bearers, I tryed surching but no luck for me. I'm thinking of playing Word Bearers, well I am going to. I'd like to know if there is anyone that has anything that works good with them. Thanks for any help you can give me.
Adapt or Die: Live with it or Die by it.
The reason why no-one has done one up is probably because of their diversity. Word Bearer armies can have everything in them. There are two major varients: all marines, or with daemons.
All Marines: I really think this is a very uninspired army. It'll win a lot of the time, as it's hard to deal with, but it gets dull really quickly. The basic strategy is to get 70+ marines into your 1500pt army and give them all a heavy and speical weapon, and then a tooled out Lord for CC. It basically works on the Ork strategy that if you throw enough people at a problem it'll go away.
With Daemons: A much more interesting army, with about 3-6 squads of Daemons to be summoned as Troops and FA. The effectiveness of the various daemons can be found in the other tacticas. Generally, furies are probably he best FA, Bloodletters and Daemonettes are the best troop choices, maybe Horrors/Flamers for shooting.

Beasts of Chaos (4000)
Chaos Marines (3000)
the demon army sounds kind of cheesy to me..... :o
No Greater daemon as HQ, use the dark apostle.Now for the daemons, daemonettes and Bloodletters are the usuall choise, and for fast attack screamers are better than furies.But i have discover that bloodletters are not worth it.Sometimes i use Pleaugebearers and flammers for shooting purposes.Daemonettes still remain the best choise for the core of your daemons.
Use the Icon Of Undivided...is it the icon of undivided? I think so, it lets u summon any choice of demons (chosen pre-game) automatically without having to roll... I suggest putting screamers in to harry the enemy until u can summon backup
'And Lo! In A Cloud Of Much Prettiness And All That,
Came Karnack! And Let It Be Known That He Said;
I was thinking of starting a Word Bearer army, but read some other thread that said Daemonhunters will eat this army... any tactics against that?
Against Daemonhunters use the 'All Marines' tactic as mentioned by Tone.Something last, never use a Greater Daemon as HQ in a Word Bearer army, use the Dark Apostle, and this not only against DaemonHunters but in general.

Okay. Now think about buying 12 boxes of CSM. Scared now? :- )Yeah, since DH came out, it's good to be a CSM player who fields . . . CSM.Originally Posted by Nagato
Im 100% sure that you dont have an idea about Word Bearers, Dark Apostle is better than a Greater Daemon as HQ, also the Dark Apostle can't be used by regular CSM, only by WB as is the main char.(together with the daemons), end.Yeah, since DH came out, it's good to be a CSM player who fields . . . CSM.
