i have a 1500 point army and i would like a squad of possesed to chop and change with.
i am having a small squad with the DVisage as i like em chaep. i am having a AC with lightening claws and mutation.
does any one have any ideas on what i should do for the modeling part? i want to use the Enhanced body guard of Fabius bile. for the men. i was thinking of using daemonette claws for the close combat weapons and having the bolt pistol arms normal. the AC would have four arms with demonette claws.
what do you think? DJ87
What do you mean? I don't think they made models for Fabius Bile's troops. The aren't a bodyguard either; so long as they don't have a mark any troops squad can be upgraded by his 'treatment'. Not sure what you mean there.Originally Posted by danjones87
Why do you want them with d.visage? Yes, it's the cheapest upgrade, but it's kinda missing out on one of the best assault troops available to chaos armies. Even so, I think that the daemonette claw idea would look pretty cool. How would you model the AC with 4 arms though? You'd need reasonable green stuff ability (something which I don't possess so I use the standard Chaos mutation sprue).
search for fabius biles body guard on GW site. theres five of them and there £2 each!!
DV is cheap and realy i expect to slay kroot and tau with them any way. i dont quite no how i will do the four arms. what would you take the possesed with??
All depends on the situation really. In a Cityfight battle Flight would be very handy sicne that would allow your Possessed to get over buildings and walls with ease. Mobility is key in Cityfight.Originally Posted by danjones87
Mutation would be handy fighting a horde army such as Orks or 'Nids, as would Fire.
I'd probably take Talons to be honest.

Talons are generally a favourite, they tend to fair well against any foe, the extra attack helps against hordes and armoured enemies are easily cracked open by the rending ability. The only concern there is an inability to fire, but that isnt so bad considering the benefits you recieve. Talons aren't terribly expensive either, but the whole squad has to have them so no lightning claws for the AC. Saves points on them i guess :p
If you use the tyranid warrior lower body and legs, and put a chaos marine torso on thop, you get a very daemonic looking AC.
For the rest of your squad, tyranid bits and pieces make very daemonic mutations.

I like the idea of daemonette claws, but I don't know why yo would want four arms. If you want them to have bolt pistols shown on there body then just use the holsters in the chaos space marine sprue or give them the arms and just use the possessed head parts. Personally I just use the mutation sprue to save on cash. I usually give my champions d. fire as well because they can shoot it and assault. It also allows your champ to shoot while having two lightning claws

Four arms to represent how his lightning claws are working. Lots of choppy bits rather than just a pair of arms that doesn't really show how he gets to re-roll wounds. If the AC has 2 lightning claws he can still have a bolt pistol- pair of L.Claws is a two handed weapon, not 2 single handed weapons, so he can have the pair and a pistol.
I agree that the mutation sprue would be a good idea too- maybe take a mix of them, unless its a particularly Slaaneshi-influenced army? A mix of the two would show some variation and inventiveness, while a similar paint scheme keeps them unified. Have a look to see if they'd fit the bill for what you want to get out of them and go with it.
sorry to dissapoint but u cant have 2 lightning claws and a pistol. i mean like think about it. how are u supposed to hold a pistol when u have huge clawed glove on??
Why not? Where is your proof? WH40K works on rules, not probable logic. A pair of lightning claws is a two handed weapon. If you have a two handed weapon you are then allowed a single handed weapon. Point me to where it says otherwise, refering to lightning claws or indeed any weapon. Daemonic Talons are not a weapon.Originally Posted by Dark Seraph
