My current Army...
1 Chaos Lord
12 close combat chaos space marines
12 shooty chaos space marines
1 changer of ways (or what ever the tzneetch greater deamon is)
Anywho. I was wondering with these units (i can buy more, I got 800 woot) could I make a good 1,000 army list for Tzneetch/Undivided? I've been playing for 3 years. Getting back into the gamming. I'm playing my first full game next week with 1,000 point list. I was just wondering if you guys had any exsperience with tzneetch and if it would be possible to make a good tzneetch/undivided 1,000 army? I was thinking maybe having a tzneetch lord or should I just be undivided units with tzneetch deamons? Any suggestions?
Wouldn't even need to be tzeentch, you don't have any thousand sons. Unless thats what the 'shooty marines' are. Undivided forces can use any daemons, and horros are one of the best daemon units for their points. The Lord of Change (Tzeentch itself is the changer of ways, not his avatar:p) isn't too bad either, you can't really argue with I6 and WS8!
If you have a tzeentch lord then your units have to be thousand sons, or unmarked. Otherwise they become elite choices. An Undivided Lord with tzeentch daemons would be the better option.
What are the possessed armed with? There's only 5 of them so you have the dilema of who to put in the rhino- the shoty marines with the lord (stick 3 bolter dudes with the havocs to make a meat shield for the heavy weapons) or the possessed? There's only 5 of them, so it wouldn't make it very cost-efficient, and rhinos can't drive around playing taxi service to the rest of the army:p
You said draednaughts- do you have more that one, and what are they armed with? Dreads can be very versatile if you treat them nicely.
Overall you don't have some bad stuff there, but make sure you don't go overboard on the HQ and keep a balance between troops and big guns.
Ok thats all I needed to hear. And a little extra.
I only got 1 dreadnaught. I'll post an army list later here. Thanks for the infomation.
True.. but with a undivided lord all marked units are elite choices anyway.Originally Posted by monsieurcartier
It's up to you.. Personally, I'd take a Tzeentch lord, possibly with a disc for extra speed.
