19 cultists with infiltrate and furious charge
1 Ac with power wepon melta bomb /135
Fast attack: 205
4 raptors with 1 melta and 1 plasma pishtol and infiltrate
1 AC with lighitng claws and melta bomb
Hell talon Bomber ????? hope its 150 points
i hope to keep it alpha legion by using a bomber type thing but its 95£ (200 $)
The cultists are for hopefully charging on the first turn or second with STR 4 I 4 same as space for 3 times less and destrroying tanks
the hell talon bomber will be harder to hit in a 1000 since its a heavy flyer and the probebly wont have AA misllies its also for softing up infantry
oblitorators are very hard to kill and will provied good anti tank and weak troop killings
the deamon prince will be hell to beat and has in the past known for holding off 3 leamn russ' for 3 turns
43 figures 1 monstous creature 1 heavy fyler tank
thanks i hope for some good advice and thank you

Infiltration on a Daemon Prince with Stature is illegal. All those gifts are nice but I would give him Daemonic Speed too. If you are short on points drop the Daemonic Essence. Also I would give him the mark of Chaos Undivided.Originally Posted by MADDNESS
Other than that, this Daemon Prince is way to costly for a 1000 pts game... A well equipped Lieutenant would be a lot betterNice but really costly, again I wouldn't take those in a 1000 pts game. Yes they are really strong and they have a good fire power but consider taking only 2 of those.Originally Posted by MADDNESSCultists are nice but they will die really easily. Also where are your Chaos Space Marines? This troop selection won't make it against every army type I can think of. Even if they are 40 and you get all of them in close combat they will die en masse. Let's face it, S3 I3 won't get you really far because you will almost always strike last.Originally Posted by MADDNESSI'm not really sure what this one is so I won't comment on it but I sure know I wouldn't play against it since it must be forgeworld and not in the codex...Originally Posted by MADDNESS
So my advices are the following, drop the Daemon Prince to a well equipped Lieutenant, take at least 2 squads of 10 Chaos Space Marines and support them with your cultists. Drop the Obliterators to 2. Take a nice old Predator, Dreadnought or even Defiler if you feel like blowing stuff and they won't cost you more than 150 pts and they cost a lot less than 200$
Changed the list but im not chaging my mind on the DEamon prince he can hold of 3 lman russes for 3 or 4 turns and killed marneus and shrike with ease, hes only 1/6 of the army...
As for the cultists i might but they are STR 4 I 4 so hitting and wounding space same way space do them ( you wouldnt be saying this if i was imperial gaurd )
i probbebly will drop the oblitorators
i added in some raptors so i might take the raptors an oblitorator away to put in two sqauds of 8 Marines with 2 lascanons
Erm...Marneus Calgar can only be taken in 2,000 points. Shrike in 1,500. So they couldnt be in 1,000 points. And you said you had no models - so how could you be using a daemon prince that you don't have?
Firstly, a hell talon is more than 150 points. And it sucks. Get a predator, they are a thousand times better.
Remove the cultists and have some CSM - you need them for a CSM army! Space marines are the greatest troops bar genestealers, you need a lot of them. As was said, a daemon prince can't have infiltrate. I'd drop essence or maybe armour, and then give him a close combat weapon - at the moment hes only getting four attacks on the charge - pitiful for a daemon prince. Also, he's too slow. Any decent player will shoot holes in him and then simply walk backwards 6" and he won't be able to charge them. Then they'll reserve firepower for him when he's the only one left.
Even though the cultists are hitting at str 4 initiative 4, what happens when they get hit back, or on the second round of combat when i get cut to bits. It is also impossible to get cultists into combat on the first turn - you must set them up more than 12" away, so theyll get shot on the second turn.
At the moment, this army list is very weak. You focus your points on either high-cost elite units or numerous low cost weak units. Basically, if i was playing this with my thousand son army, i would simply blast the daemon prince and obliterators with bolt of change and lascannons on the first turn, ignore the hell talon and then gun down the cultists with boltguns on the second turn. Then i get charged by the cultists - Oh no! Theres five of them, and now your hell talon can't shoot me with any attacks. Also remember that the hell talon has to roll above a certain number to keep attacking. And then the raptors charge, and get mobbed by the rest of my army.
The only difference between tattooed people and non-tattooed people is that tattooed people are awesome and can kick your ass.
"War does not determine who is right - only who is left."
i meant one-on-one in CC so :p and where did you get your lascannons not in normal sqauds its illegal and in a havoc sqaud they cost 260 points  . And in your two sqaud of TS you will have 28 hits 18 wounds and i will be in cover of like 5+ so 6 die oh no i scared.
and your bolt of change will take like 30 turns to kill 10 wounds (they have invunrable) and how can you destroy 10 wounds with around 4 lascannons and 1 bolt of change on the first turn they have invunrable. and oh no you've destroyed 6 cultists 1 oblitorator on the first turn.
Lascannons can be taken in a normal CSM squad, a heavy weapon and a special weapon are permitted or two special weapons. The point is that your Daemon Prince is not invulnerable and that he will die if enought fire power is directed toward him. One lascannon shot is all that is needed for that matter as the instant death still apply on the base toughness of your Daemon Prince and the invulnerable save of 5+ don't save everything.Originally Posted by MADDNESS
I just can't see how a Daemon Prince can hold up 3-4 Leman Russ for 3-4 turn... is it his S7 that blasted them to hell? You do know that a Leman Russ can get out of CC anytime it choose, back up a bit and blast YOU to hell with lascannon fire.
The Alpha Legion is based on having a lot of Chaos Space Marines with a some cultists to support them in their role. If you want an army with a lot of cheap models try the Legion of the Damned list I'm sure it will suit your play style better.
