Well, I got comprehensively whipped in a recent take and hold scenario by a Nurgle army against my Sisters of Battle, although if it had been Victory Point based I might have had them thanks to my seraphiom taking out a 300+ pt Land Raider on the 2nd turn. Ooooh that was a good feeling.

A lot of it was down to poor deployment on my part though. They seem like a potentially tough army in many respects. As with most models with a 3+ save, they can be hard to whither away with standard weapons.

As one can tell, Deathguard are one of the toughest armies in the universe. Ive battled against an all bike white scar force and that toughness 5 is a real pain in the ass when coupled with power armour, Deathguard should pretty much be the same. Problem with Deathguard is its painfully slow but rhinos would be ideal with this kind of force since they can jump out of a rhino and still be expected to live. And you also lack anti armour weaponary which means a heavy tank force will cause you some trouble (imperial guard). And an army built around speed will also do pretty well against a Deathguard army (Eldar and Dark Eldar).

Death Guard are good against everyone, providing you have the right stuff in your army.

Again I find myself agreeing with Robizzle. DG can take anyone. Many players find it difficult to combat a DG army because you can't fight it like a regular sm or csm army. Yes they are slow, but that's what infiltrate is for. I can't think of an army that DG would have significant difficulty beating. DG are an over all great army to play. I could tell you many funny stories involving my nurglings... ^_^

DG are a beautiful army to play if you take your tactics seriously. I've phased out a full Necron army on the fourth turn once. And their possesed squads are insane if they have MoN. Its an expensive army to play though, both points-wise and money-wise.It kinda sucks you have to buy melta-guns in blisters.

Yeah, Although it's great to see an army once it's done. The more expensive it is, the longer it takes to collect, thus you get a greater feeling of accomplishment when it's finished.

Wraithlord, in case you havn't seen it yet, there's some of my Death Guard pics in a thread here:
