i was just wondering peoples' general opinions of these lil guys.
how often do you use them?
are they any good?
they have decent stats and are fairly cheap. i think these guys would work wonders on guardsmen, guants eldar guardians and such.
let me know.
In generaly Furies die in handfuls. Guardians and the assault 2 catapult can decimate units of furies, and in HTH, where your forced to take saves the furies will not last all the long. Best used to hit and run, or attack Heavy Weapon units instead of main stay blocks of troops like guardians where your likely to be fighting 10+ at the once, or guardsman who could bring many a platoon
40K-Beakies(9-14-4),Guard(4-7-2),Orks(34-12-11). FANTASY-Dwarves(15-6-7),Beasts (14-14-1), Skaven (17-17-10) DoC (6-1-2). CYGNAR (28-15-1)
I find them useful for quick tie ups vs dev squads or what have you....Outside of that they aren't really that useful to me.
I use em' every now and again. It really depends on who your fighting. It's kind of a waste putting them up against orks, necrons, csm, or sm, they'll die quick. But they're great at causing havoc in T3 armies. You want to summon them and get em' into combat quick, These guys are vulnerable against shooting but as I said, get em' into cc with T3 models and they'll shine. :cool:
They're a godsend against tau, when applied with the daemon bomb tactic. Other than that, they have little practical use and are just there to irritate heavy weapon troopers and die to a counter-charge.
They should spell death for the rear armour of tanks - using their mobility if summoned in the middle of the enemy, a squad of 10 could really lay the smack down on even something as big as a leman russ!
The only difference between tattooed people and non-tattooed people is that tattooed people are awesome and can kick your ass.
"War does not determine who is right - only who is left."
They're good at taking the enemy by surprise, allowing you to push an advantage through on one flank.
Apathy is the greatest enemy of all.
They're really useful if you can summon them and get them into cc quickly. As long as you use their speed they can be great against heavy weapon units.
"DICE FOR THE DICE GOD!"
And the almighty Dice God said to his followers "Thou shalt not speak ye words "anything but a one" For thou whoever'st speaketh this blasphemy will be cursed with thy rolls being of one".
They are, it just depends what you can get them to combat with. Take them against SMurfs and they'll just flap around and get punched in. They would work to some extent, if not to tie up a counter-attack unit on the flank you're killing. It all depends on your personal tactics and opponent.Originally Posted by Zed
