Ok is it me or am i outta my mind, but i coulda sworn that htere were iron warrior minis for sale somewhere, but i cant seeem tofind them
also what comes in the Havoc box set(weapons wise)????
if you wanna know why im asking check out this thread: http://www.librarium-online.com/foru...ad.php?t=41914 (CSM/ SM army) and feel free to post and answer my other questions in tehre
Havocs come with exactly what is on the box. And with the money saving idea i understand what your trying to do but you may want to consider just buying individual blister for HW troops to tool to what you need. Otherwise your looking at Autocannon, Heavy Bolter, Missile launcher, Lascannon standard if i remember correctly. And as your playing/considering iron warriors i think you may want to lean towards the missile launchers and lascannons.
Just my 2 cents
Side note:have the fun of chaos is having marines that look cool not standard and being able to convert them. Maybe you should just make the chaos with mutations and paint them like the soul drinkers. that way you can float back and forth with the lists.
40K-Beakies(9-14-4),Guard(4-7-2),Orks(34-12-11). FANTASY-Dwarves(15-6-7),Beasts (14-14-1), Skaven (17-17-10) DoC (6-1-2). CYGNAR (28-15-1)
ok htanks, but what about those iron warrior minis?
Most people won't be horribly upset that you use CSM's instead of SM's as troops in a SM army....
As long as you don't do something like "this is my dreadnaught" and it's a defiler or some such they aught to be cool with it.
On a side note, I prefer to bounce Assault cannons as reaper auto cannons when I move my IW's around.
yea i think in the end im gonna end up mixing the minis in the squads, like a havoc squad with some devastators in it for instance, i think that this is the best way to save money and have a fairly unique army
my store sells iron warrior squads they come with 10 csm, a lascannon, and special weapons.
Which Halo character are you?
You talk alot, you don't do much, but at times you can be invaluable.
I play iron warriors, and the IW box is availble in the UK online store, or GW stores in the US. It includes 8 marines w/ 1 laz, 1 melta, and 4 IW heads and Torsos, Along w/ the standard components.
oh so its just a box of normal CSM with an added laz and melta gun, 4 special heads, and special torsos????
Yes, and all these extra peices are metal, they fit nicely with the IW paint skeem. The thing is that the IW box doesn't come with mutation, but on the other hand i personaly think that a lascannon with the plasma is great for a tactical iron warrior squad.Originally Posted by chaos0xomega
Also a nice way to same money and get great equipment for 2 firing squads and 1 close combat squad is to buy 2 IW boxes and one regular CSM box. I did this and it works great because u get in total 2 meltas for your close combat squad, and a lascannon and a plasma gun for both firing squads. This is way cheaper then just buying then buying 3 regular CSM boxes and blisters to fill in you special and heavy weapon choises. They also look quite unique with there viking type helms.
Btw on ebay u can get them the cheaper, its also good to try to find a kit of 2 boxes. A while back i saw 2 IW marine boxes for about 56 Canadain. So thats quite cheap, its about wat one box costs with tax.
