I got the idea from the minis in the Chaos Codex, the Khorne Berzerkers that are Black Legion, and i was thinking "What about a whole army of those?" Its essentially World Eaters, but the fluff and the color scheme are slightly different, so i was wondering if this was an ok idea?
Do you mean everything is a berzerker but claiming to be black legion? no problem there, so long as you stick to the letter of the rules. Even better idea would be to create your own legion with their own fluff but still follows the WE rules. That's what I did for my EC army (which used to be a SMurf army so I didnt need to make much new fluff :p )
hmmm...good plan, but i'm mainly focusing on my Lord right now, who i just finished converting and i have his primer drying as i type these very words, heres a basic description of how he looks:
Kharn the Betrayer body, w/ a loin cloth instead of chains, and a power sword from a Cadian Sergant instead of a plasma pistol, the head has been replaced by a head from the Chaos Rhino box, the one w/ the cage thing around it, and a cape made from a banner on his back, all the while standing on an overturned chaos bike, from which i also got his backpack...*wipes away tear* its so inspiring
i'll "liberate" a camera from someone and get a pic of him up as soon as i can
i got it all painted last night, its a gloss black base (non GW but they dont have to know) and i painted his cape lots of different reds, to look bloodstained, the axe is scab red, as is the majority of the chest, and the metal skull things on his legs and his right shoulder pad are a mix of dwarf bronze and chaos, and i've take some blood red and..."liberally", for lack of a better word, put blood and gore across him
the bike hes standing on goes w/ the story i made for him, which is that he had this personal vendetta w/ a slaaneshi legion's champion, who liked the feeling of wind on his hair...until our man took the front part of his bike out w/ his axe...sending the rider flying, but i might add him later as i have some room left on the base, but back to the bike itself, its this gaudy pink and silver scheme, it looks horrendous, which makes it easier to hate ^_^
now, for the next project, the rhino, for it, i'm gonna repose some catachans i bought for extra bits (SALE, BROTHA, SALE) and i'm gonna use some chain to make it look like hes chained to the side, or front...or both! thoughts?
Trophies are always good for chaos vehicles (or even characters on bikes/steeds) so long as they aren't too over the top. One of my rhinos has a marine carving up an already half-dismembered ork I stole from my brother's bits box.
I'm also offended by your description of the 'horrendous' pink bike. Nothing wrong with a vendatta against Slaanesh, he is a berzerker after all. Even so, Emperor's Children look amazing, and being an EC player I take personal offense to that. It's well know that real men wear pink. Even though mine are DA green.... but shh...
I think it would be better to make an army that is dedicated to khorne and uses WE rules. but if your dead set on making them BL then that's ok. Abaddon does have several Khorne Lords under his command in his legion. It would make sense that such commanders would have troops as dedicated to Khorne as he. But be warned, Abaddon does not think very highly of his Khorne commanders. (He gave one over to the DE in one of the novels).
I think that was the plan, but to have his 'own' legion that uses WE rules and has its own background rather than a bog-standard every nine-year-old's army World Eaters.
Or I might be wrong. Mattias, correct me/us please. I'm not too sure of what you plan to do so I can't make terribly constructive points.
the plan is to make my own legion, heres what i have thus far:
-Brother-Captain Matthias (me in 40k form) begins the slow road to damnation in the Denos Campaign, in which he and his then loyal Space Marines (need loyalist chapter name) go berserk and destroy the planet's Imperial defences utterly
-During a hasty retreat (or "redirection in objective" according to Matthias) to the Eye of Terror, the population of 12 planets are pulverised out of existence by who are now known as The Bloody Sons of Khorne (need help w/ that name too)...While in Warp Space, armor mutates, as well as the marines themselves, though most mutatees die within days
-When finally in the Eye (after about 200 years cuz they didnt ask directions) they take a small planetoid as a base, though after fierce fighting w/ a warband of Slaanesh, whos leader and Matthias develop a bloody rivalry over the years (which most of my minis will portray)
ok, now, any thoughts? anything u think i should add? and, monsieur cartier, i would be honored if you'd allow my khorne berzerkers to hate your slaaneshi marines
Hmmm need help with a name eh? How about "The Skull Takers". Sorry that really does seem like a pretty disappointing turnout even for me, but I guess it's the thought that counts.
