My new "I don't want to really win - just play with an over priced unit and laugh as it does it's thing" unit.
Squad of 10 Chosen.
Terminator Armour X10
Aspiring Champion X10
Mark of Tzeentch X10
Bolt of Change X10
Thrall Wizard X20 (Two for each model)
Daemonic Resilience X10
L. Claw X10
Tank Hunters X10 (Why not?)
For a grand total of One thousand, one hundred fourty (1140) points.
The job is simple. Not die. The Thrall wizards soak up casualties for the first round.... MAYBE two if I haven't sacrificied them for more bolts. Then... well... hopefully a toughness 5, 2/5+ model can survive for awhile yet. =)
I tend not to win games when I play them... but they sure make a ruckus!
one word: lol
"Heresy is like a garden weed, it won't stop feeding until you... BURN THE WHOLE DAMN GARDEN WITH A FLAMER, BURN IT, BURN IT TO HELL!!!!!" "Is there a wittle puppy in the garden? ITS A DAEMON! BURN IT!"
That'll do some damage there. Just Deepstrike 'em and see your opponent weep uncontrolably.
"They say the Darkness consumes you. They don't say what happens after It's done."
Hahahah, I love the visual story board Seth.Originally Posted by Seth the Dark

Thought about that. But then they wouldn't be able to Bolt of Change that turn.Originally Posted by Khamal
How the hell can you actually fit anything else in there?
That has got to be the coolest thing I've seen yet, its like an assassination squad costing mroe than half you army... lol I would not want to be your opponent and have to recieve 10+ bolts of change...
When I ran it, it was a 1500 point army. Two squads of normal marines, six models strong with a Asp. Champ with a Teleport Homer. My lord was a cheap guy in Terminator Armour, a Great Weapon and Combi-bolter, and a few minor Daemonic Gifts. The one of note was Resilience. I just had the Lord truck right along with the Chosen, although I didn't count them as a retinue. Not sure if I broke the rules or not, but wasn't a big deal since the game was one of fun anyways.Originally Posted by SlickWilley
And then for swarm armies, you can just give your combi-bolters inferno bolts :p I love those things....
You Can't Stop the Eighp
Had Tzeentch before I knew how to play :P
