Why would you ever take a Daemonic Steed, other than modeling purposes? It gives the same bonuses as Speed and Resilience for the exact same cost, but confers the negatives of not being able to infiltrate or be transported. Am I missing something?
Because with Speed and Resilience, you can infiltrate. Or be toted around in a Rhino. Neither of which you can do with a Steed.Originally Posted by onlainari
Well, it isn't really 'just' fluff, although that's a big part. It's about having a really cool looking model.
I know the major part of this game is winning and losing, but there is also a very large following for the modelling aspect as well.
I, personally, don't play for the modelling part. But I can see why some would.
It's all about crushing the other guys army for me, (as long as we both have fun while it happens!
Ummm... How about fleet of foot buddy? extra d6'' during shooting phase.
Which you get with speed. No need to have a Steed for just that.Originally Posted by HeraldOfChaos
There are various types of steeds man, in each book. If counter that again with a question, than it is just purely for fluff.
[Edit]Look at the Juggernuat of Khorne, Essence is normally for independent Characters only.
