Ok, I'm in a campaign right now and I might be forced to play an Eldar guy. This guy is a stickler for rules, and I've only played Eldar once, so I need some help here. I am a Undivided Chaos Army, and my list is as follows...
Prince with a Berserker glaive and maxed out with a decent amount of gifts, a Dred with a plasma cannon, A land Raider, A Defiler with I fire, 3 Obliterators, a Lieutenant in terminator armor with a squad of 4 chosen termies, 3 squads with 5 troops that have two close combat weapons and one guy with a melta, one with a plasma gun and an Aspiring champ with a power weapon and Demon Strength thus toatalling 8 guys per squad. I thinks thats it, as far as I know he has...
3 wraithlords, an Avatar with toughness 8 and 3 wounds, two of the big tank thingys I think they are calld falcons? Dunno only played em once, some infantry to fill up troop choices and I beleive a farseer council blah blah. I dunno much about him, but I know he will take advantage of every rule he can, and that those wraithlords will kick my ass, so what do I do? Lemme know if you need more info...
well wraithlords and falcons are both heavy choices so he can have a mix of each up to three, unless he plays Iyanden(sp).
sorry to tell ya, but eldar hasmany AP2 weapons. those chosen termies and oblits aren;t gonna last long.
make sure you take large squad sizes. you don't want to have to take a moral checks from a star cannon.
i wouldn't use the land raider. bright lances bring down any armor over 12, to 12. so your LR's 14 armor all around becomes 12 to a bright lance.
avatars only have a 5+ save, so shoot at him with autocannons, heavy bolters, plasma guns, any multi shot high strength weapon.

I am a Undivided Chaos Army, and my list is as follows...The landraider is a bad choice against eldar. Smack Mutated Hull on a rhino and it has the same armor against bright lances and you have saved 150 points. I love obliterators, but you should consider them an extra time. A bright lance will insta kill an obliterator and only let it have its inv save. Terminators are likewise a suboptimal choice. Starcannons kill terminators just fine.Prince with a Berserker glaive and maxed out with a decent amount of gifts, a Dred with a plasma cannon, A land Raider, A Defiler with I fire, 3 Obliterators, a Lieutenant in terminator armor with a squad of 4 chosen termies, 3 squads with 5 troops that have two close combat weapons and one guy with a melta, one with a plasma gun and an Aspiring champ with a power weapon and Demon Strength thus toatalling 8 guys per squad. And why don't you have any daemons? Daemonettes are perfect for fighting eldar. Even a small squad of 5-6 daemonettes will make short work of a good sized guardian squadron and can take out wraithlords and avatar as well.
Against an eldar player like this I would probably bring 3-4 marine squads. Two with rhinos and one or two with infiltrate. 2 squads of 6 daemonettes. Marines with lascannons to take out his falcons and vypers and then charge as soon as you get the chance. Your defiler is a good choice. The large blast can really mess up any eldar squad. Even the seer council will have trouple against it. Sure they will save a lot of wounds, but strength 8 means that any unsaved wound is a dead model, farseer or warlock.
He has a seer council... I would just love to charge my lord with a dread axe into them since they would not get any save against his attacks. Keep the lord cheap though, since mind war is a quick way of killing a 200 point lord before he even gets near the enemy.I have never really understood the fear of wraith lords. I play eldar myself and I rarely field a wraithlord, let alone three. They take up a heavy support slot that could have gone to a Falcon or dark reapers (it seems like your opponent has about 5 heavy support choices). And a wraithlord is much slower than the rest of the eldar army.3 wraithlords, an Avatar with toughness 8 and 3 wounds, two of the big tank thingys I think they are calld falcons? Dunno only played em once, some infantry to fill up troop choices and I beleive a farseer council blah blah. One option is to ignore the wraithlords for the first couple of rounds while concentrating on the much faster and more dangerous falcons and waveserpens. And then take a few lascannon shots at them before you let your daemonettes charge in and kill them off. 6 daemonettes have 18 attacks on the charge which should give you around 3 sixes and kill the wraithlord before it gets a chance to even strike back.
Watch out for falcons and waveserpenst carrying Fire Dragons and howling banshees. Both of these units can eliminate a staggering amount of power armored models in a single round. Firedragons will kill any vehicles, walkers etc they come across with equal ease. Shoot down their transport as a matter of priority. As soon as they are on the ground you should be able to kill them with bolter fire or the defilers blast.
I think the terminators could work if you use deep strike, just pick a nice easy target teleport in behind them and shoot them. And if you want to protect your characters from psychic powers give them a collar of khorne its REALLY good against psychic powers (understatement). Apart from telling you to get into CC as soon as possible thats about all the advice i have
eldar can be an anoying apponent for chaos, like Arizzar the landraider is a bad choice, i wouldn't take the obliterators unless you have to as well, if he knows he is playing a marine army expect star cannons from hell( god i hate those things) . Altough something fun to do against eldar or hell anyone is a keeper of secrets with siren, but you would have to switch your demon price around a bit... You may have trouble using your demon prince depending on how he plays if he keeps everything cooped up in wave serpants you have to knock them out of there first before the demon prince can do any damage.... i agree with Arizzar though exept missle launchers or plasma cannons for the vypers.... since its open topped it is takes 2 hits from every 1 from blast weapons... a dread with a plasma cannon fire frenzing equal 1 dead vyper . But i don't know it depends on how he plays if he takes 3 weak vypers or 1 souped up to hell one. Make sure you keep everything in cover as long as possible, since hes ulthwe i guess take a coller of khorne on everythin you can, ( there is nothing worse then losing your 200 some point demon prince to a 1 frickin bad dice roll from mindwar)
Oh and i dont realy understand why people fear wraith lords either the one thing i hate in the eldar army is the bloody reapers in bunkers....
i would agree with the earlier comments, particularly daemons in an undivided army.
every daemon gets an invulnerable save.
and the 2 cheapest are the best against wraithlords.
daemonettes have rending so will auto would on a 6 to hit.
and plaguebearers never need more than a 4 to wound.
so its ideal against them.
obliterators, if you dropped 2. you could afford 9 daemonettes or plaguebearers and have points spare.
again, the landraider is a bad choice against eldar. in daemon terms
but if you dont have models, then tactics wise-kill the starcannons as you have many marines. keep in cover and use as many of the multi shot weapons as you can, and remember if he moves his tanks, and you imoblize them, they may crash.
with the deamons apart from the daemonettes, you many want to consider a small squad of flammers if you have the points, a small squad coming in near a tank will shut fire dragons up nice and quick like, honestly though i realy woun't worry all that much about the wraithlord. seeing as how its like 125 points at the most for a single missle launcher and 120 for a star cannon, if it does get close your demon prince can take care of it or the daemonettes, the thing to realy concentrate on i've found is falcons or wave serpants that are full loaded with squads. Once those goe down you leave his squads open to fire.
