I have about 160 pts to spend on a HQ for my iron warriors and i dont have the parts for stature or wings right now but i need a good cc HQ along with some tactics to keep the cc lacking iron warriors alive.
Well Jack if its iron warriors you want i would combine a powerfull c.c. weapon of your choice with a servo arm. (an extra attack at double strength that doubles as a vehicle repair kit is so good as well as being wargear that is used in addition to your main attacks!

Well, it depends on how you plan on using your HQ unit. Since it's Iron Warriors, I'll just go ahead and assume you're using him as a Counter-Charge unit. He'll stay back with the troops until some CC nasties reach your lines, at which point he'll jump into the fray.

All comes to 151 points.
Some reasons why I chose what I did - Terminator armour is the cheapest way to give him some survivability and extra attacks. Since he's not moving much, he doesn't need to the mobolity of Power Armour. Dark Blade to give him some bite. He hits at Strength 6, enough to wound most dedicated assault units on a 2+. Resilience is to reduce the amount of wounds he suffers. Visage is to help break the charging units. And Doombolt allows him to have some form of Ranged attack, so he's not totally useless until he hits CC.

i would use a lieutenant with
weighing in at 101, hes cheap and cheerful the extra points allow him to have some marine chums to join the scrap.
you could always master craft his wepon and give him spikey bits to, for that rerollage.
