Ive got a friend who is a choas player. More specifically a Khorne player. I hate playing against him because of his feel no pain ability that his daemon prince and his terminators have. What I want to know is is there any way around feel no pain (like power weapons) or does he always gets to roll for every wound?
Any help REALLY appreciated.
Food for thought:
When ever you find yourself down, just ask yourself this simple question, "What would Jesus do?"
Weapons that are double his toughness or that are in close combat that ignore armor saves. It's essentially a predeath WBB roll.
A quick way to get around a khornate DP is to just use a super cheap squad with a hidden fist with as many attacks as possible hidden inside it.
Well that answers a question. I was reading up the chaos codex last night 'again' at another posters suggestion and was looking especially at Slaanesh abilities Feel no pain was listed there. hmm sounds like a good one to have.
Well firstly he cannot use the roll against weapons that are double the models toughness. So if you hit is termies with a lascannon or anything like that, they'll fry all the same. Secondly, it clearly states that he cannot use the 'feel no pain' rule against any weapon that allows no saves. Thirdly, many people believe that the 'feel no pain' rule can only be used on Aspiring Champs or Lords, and Leiutenants. Though I've seen it argued either way quite convincingly.
What? I'm a fluff master not a rule master...
yes, but you can have chosen terminators and promote all of them to aspiring champion and give them feel no pain it is just very costly, i do the same with my demon prince and it makes him very hard to kill.
but like The Mad Hatter said use a cheap squad with hidden power fists that would be ideal for takin out the demon prince and for the terminators just bash him with lascannons and missle launchers.
Do you know what he uses?
Im a regualr Khorne player and what the other guys have said is pretty right.
He can not use his FNP if he is hit by a weapon which is double his natural toughness (being a DP hell probably be naturall T5) Or weapons which do not allow an armour save in CLOSE COMBAT. He still gets it from shooting weapons that ignore his armour save but are not double his T.
any model that can get equipment from the armoury can purchase FNP
I'm quite interested in hearing the arguement for allowing normal troopers to have Feel No Pain. I wonder how people can argue that normal troopers are able to take items from the Chaos Armoury.Originally Posted by numberofthebeastxxx
As for the original question - everything you need to know about Feel No Pain is listed on Page 74 of the BGB. I assume you have access to one.
I believe this argument comes about from the fact Chaos units can have veteran skills from the armoury and Beserkres can take Khronate chain axes as well. still cant take feel no pain for regular units if i recall right.
Ask not the ruleboys a question for they shall give you three answers each true and terrifying to behold
I agree exactly with Caluin - berserkers and that cannot take feel no pain. It states nowhere it is a veteran skill, nor does it come under the veteran skills section. It is a piece of wargear, effectively.
