Well, I want to start out Slaanesh, and was wondering, what colors would you find 'acceptable' for Slaanesh other than Pink?
Also, if I used some 'normal' SM in power armor mixed in with the Chaos power armor, which I be cutting off the horns and such to make them look more normal, would ya kill me for it? Note that I could use Chaosy bits and a few body parts to modify the normal SM models.
You could use light blues or purples, any bright colours realy. As to mixing the Chaos and Space Marine frames, they were designed with this in mind, so it is perfectly acceptable.
I would have thought you'd be the last person to worry about conforming to usual colour schemes, Mike!
Don't worry about crippling chaos figurine, they are already crippled by the chaos powers. But I would suggest to use normal SM heads instead of removing the hornes as it doesn't look good at all.
For the color scheme, i would suggest something verry bright of something that would look fetishist. When I'll build my EC force, I will use black and varnish to make their armour look like they were made of latex. They will look sadomasochists. I thought about giving them a gangsta look an have them all walk with a gethoblaster (big stereo) on their shoulders instead of using sonic weaponry.
Or, as they are all fond of excess, i wanted to make them all look japanese. (it's a joke )
CHAOS Undiv.: won 14/22 games EC: 4/7 WE: 6/9 DG: 10/15, TS: 3/7 Orks : 13/20 SM NL : 1/6 TAU: 14 of 24 IG: 3/7
i dont get the joke mindraked.
as mindraked said, use black and varnish, you could paint bits bone or flesh colour of there dead play things. you could sculpt them to be wearing bunney outfits!!! that would be great. fur would be good to and is easy to get hold of. you can make good fur out of static grass, gluing it on before spraying the model.
good luck DJ87
Light turquoise with some navy or dark purples or fuschia's can be cool.
Also a creative use of white with some contrasting pinks, navies and turq's looks great.
I'm partial to the pinks though. Especially dark and light fuschia's with dark and light pinks.
Be a man and paint them pink :-P
They don't have to be totaly pink you know, just shoulder pads while the rest is black.
Tomb Kings, Marines, Eldar
There's a guy i know who painted his army liche purple with the majority of the marine armor in black with the varnish look. I think it looks great, course most armies look great next to my boltgun bragade (Iron warriors).
you could also consider painting them similar to the violater scheme in the chaos codex. if i remember right, the violaters worship slaanesh
40K-Beakies(9-14-4),Guard(4-7-2),Orks(34-12-11). FANTASY-Dwarves(15-6-7),Beasts (14-14-1), Skaven (17-17-10) DoC (6-1-2). CYGNAR (28-15-1)
My dad painted mine with Firey Orange and Chaos Black armour panels (in a particular scheme, in quarters i.e. left shoulder pad orange, right leg orange) with Mithril Silver trim.
As long as they're contrasting colours you should be ok. I think Chaos Black is a mainstay though because it's easy to contrast any colour with black (except grey!).

Well, it's good to know I got some kind of reputation!Originally Posted by Purturabo_The_Great
Well, it'ds more of a study, people aren't too outraged at my OGKs, but Chaos is IMO more 'defined', so lets say I'm conducting Market Research!
I'm still not sure about my scheme, but when I do get some models I'll know more!
Meh, don't be a wuss man, go fluffy and stick with hot pink shoulder pads and pitch black armor. BE ah man! i know I'll respect you if you keep with the native color scheme.
