i have a question regarding my daemon lord\prince.
in the chaos codex, it says if your lord has over 50 pts of daemon gifts it 'may claim' to be a daemon prince.
can you have more than 50 pts of daemon gifts and still use a normal model?( not a daemon prince)
I think you can have it normal but you should make it a daemon prince because each of the gifts represents a mutation along the way to becoming a daemon so it would make sense to model the daemon prince correctly.
I shall destroy all who stand in my way. The Emperor shall be reborn in me, the Primarchs shall be remade in me. I shall cast down the Dark Gods, the Star Gods shall be consumed just as they consumed their brothers. Those who fell shall be redeemed, those who remained pure shall be rewarded. The Imperium shall regain its power and the Dark Age of Technology will seem like nothing. For I am the Numen and I am coming
You can model it however you want - it's just for fluff purposes.
You can easily say that the Lord has other means of using those abilities, etc.
The only exception to this is using Daemonic Stature - you need to at least use a larger model, to represent the Monstrous Creature attribute that he gets.
Lost Nemesis is mostly correct. While you can model your lord virtually any way you want, he is considered more daemon than mortal with over 50pts of daemonic gifts. The reason for this is (besides fluff) there are things in the 40k universe that affect "daemons". Many Daemonhunters wargear for example. So if your lord has the 50+ points he is considered a "daemon" for all special gear purposes that may affect him. The only gifts that must be represented on the model would be stature and talons. Everything else is pretty much automatically represented.
thanks guys, that really cleared some stuff up.
