What is the best weapon to give the chaos marine on the bike? bolt pistol or chain sword?
DOWN WITH THE FALSE EMPEROR!!!MAY HIS GALAXY BURN!!!
On a similarily related topic: If a bike is equipped with a plasma gun, do the "get's hot" rule apply?
Yes it does bikes may be vehicles but they are treated as extensions of the rider not vehicles!Originally Posted by boydgarrett

On a related note:
I'm putting together some Slaaneshi bikers, armed with Sonic Blasters... so I was wondering if I could have one of the biker's carrying his Sonic Blaster in his hand and modeling some kind of daemonic growth with teeth and fangs in the area of the bike that would normally carry the gun (a close-combat weapon perhaps). Would it still count having a bike-mounted sonic blaster? I guess I've always assumed that in order to get the "counts as stationary" benefit from the bike, the weapon actually has to be physically attached to the bike, but I can't say why I think this.
Depends how pedantic the people you play with are....
Personally, if you tell me the bike has a sonic blaster, I look over and there's a bike with a sonic blaster....good enough for me.
I have to agree with this. Biker has a Sonic Blaster upgrade? As long as I see a Sonic Blaster, I'm happy.Originally Posted by Addoran
Now that I think about it though - has anyone else seen pictures of biker models holding their Plasma and Meltaguns, rather than them being attached to the bike? I'm almost positive I've seen one or two models like that in a Codex or two.
I think I have as well, but perhaps it's the yawning affect- you know, one person thinks it, so now we all begin to think it.Originally Posted by Caluin
I used to play SM a while back and the bikes only come with linked bolters. The weapon upgrades were always made by replacing an arm. I thought it was weird to have a model holding (and firing) a meltagun with one hand as I assumed one always had to be holding the handle bars.
I think the placement has an effect. I believe the bolters on the bike are counted as stationary and could always fire to full effect. The weapon upgrades are not counted as stationary. At least this is how I always played it.
I do not criticize. I do not offend. All I offer is my opinion which means only as much as you make it.
