Hello everyone, Im new to these fourms and could be considered a "Noob" but I know alot about the hobby via my dad and I have a a few questions
I have a space marine force but want to play plague marines, I was wondering if I could convert some of my SM into death company marines
My second question involves my chaos landraider, can it be use in 500 and 1000pt games and would it be wise to use it in such games.
My third and last question is what kind of Hero is good in 500 and 1000pt games
Well firstly i take it you mean death guard not the death company?I wouldnt say its to hard to convert normal marines into death guard.Id just give 'em a whole load of washes with greens and browns and ad some nurge ensignia here and there and say they are the equivelant of red corsairs(not sure if red corsairs follow gods as there so far from the eye)
As for the land raider question,I wouldnt use one in anything under 1500pt battles and even then there a huge point sink.
The third question kinda puzzles me,Heros are in fantasy. If you mean special characters than i can tell ya there is only one for nurgle. If you mean HQ then id go for a tooled up lieutenant and put him in a close combat oriantated troop choice.
I hope i helped.
INNOCENCE IS NOT IMMUNITY
Depends on what you put in the LR. Slaanesh DP cheese build + termies in 1000pts = painOriginally Posted by Panaca
Generally speaking and if you want to be fluffy LR points are better spent on troops in smaller matches though
you may get more replys on the chaos spacemarine forum.
however drilling a few holes in the modles in the nurgle rune looks good and stretching green stuff all over them looks good even when messy
check out this web site for gameing suplies for cheap bulk green stuff counters transfers etc.
Melt your marines a little bit with plastic glue. It give them lots of pores. Well i dont play nurgle i only read that in the white dwarf, when the guy was converting a imperial terminator, into a chaos one.
Why would you convert to chaos:cry:
Oh well, just add some spikes and paint them green, and as mentioned drill some holes.
One Shot, One Kill
Leave them all out in the damp until they are covered in odd fungus and mould and other green vegetation and you should have the right effect.
1: to convert marines drill holes in the armour to look like plagues and disease also to add to the affect i find painting the metal on the armour a light brown then a base of scorched for the armour and then go throught browns and greens ontop the scorched brown gives a nice effect
2: i wouldnt use a land raider mabye at a squeeze in 1000but i mean save it for the big guns in 1500pts and higher mainly as you will get attacked by cheaper tanks like predators which will probabaly take it out
3: if you do take a land raider just fil it with uber hard guys
Remeber men, we are fighting for the ladies honour, which is a damsite more than she did
Greenstuff is the way to go.
You don't need that much skill with it to make some great Nurgle-conversions. Poxes and wounds. Maggots and interstitials. Boyd made some converted bellies that are on the gallery, it's on page 3,4 something.
You can easily make the meaty things that exist on the Obliterators and tubings with it.
One thing about Nurgle is that there is so many ways to convert the models. There should be no problem to do it to fallen loyalists either.
Just let the plague loose
