My little Nurgle army is slowly growing larger. Thanks to the Gods of chaos and a good-paying job, at least! The models that aren't specifically Nurgle are going to be painted in Nurgle colors and have the Mark of Nurgle, so it'll all mesh nicely. The current things I have in hand are as follows;
Typhus, Lord of Nurgle
Chaos Space Marine Lord
Chaos Terminator Champion
Death Guard Plague Marines Squad
Chaos Space Marines Squad
Chaos Terminator Squad
Incoming are 3 Obliterators, the Death Guard Havoc squad, a few nurglings, and the demons of Nurgle....I think Plaguebearers. If I can swing it, I'll get the Chaos box set so I can get the defilers and the Rhino.. as well as additional units of Death Guard as a Troops choice.
So, do you, as Chaos Players, feel this is a good start?

I'm afraid you can't use Typhus and Fabius together.. indeed, I don't think you can use Fabius at all in a deathguard army..
Otherwise, not bad. You need an extra troops choice though.. might I suggest plaguebearers?
-The_Giant_MantisI don't think you can use Fabius at all in a deathguard army..
The same goes for the Obliterators I'm afraid , BUT that's (unlike Fabius) in a pure Deathguard army. If you are willing to drop the free champ upgrade- it's no problem. That's Oblits, Fabius would make all units bearing any mark, but Undivided, Elite.
Fabious can only be used in an undivided army if i remember correctly.
As for figures, depending what you are using from the Deathguard havocs you will need more of the particular weapons if your going to be using them. You might also want at least 10 terminators total. Terminators with the mark of nurgle are dead hard, and even better in CC than normal terminators. Can't go wrong with the greater daemon of nurgle or daemons.
40K-Beakies(9-14-4),Guard(4-7-2),Orks(34-12-11). FANTASY-Dwarves(15-6-7),Beasts (14-14-1), Skaven (17-17-10) DoC (6-1-2). CYGNAR (28-15-1)
I don't think he is making a DG army. He specifically states it's a nurgle army. And to quote: "The models that aren't specifically Nurgle are going to be painted in Nurgle colors and have the Mark of Nurgle, so it'll all mesh nicely." Correct me if I'm wrong however, AnimeNathan. Because if you are trying a DG army, the above posts will tell you whats wrong with that. AS for your stuff, yes, it's a great start. Although I don't like the rules for Typhus, you can still use the model, but I would just use him as a chaos lord since you can give him equal/better stats and wargear for less points than the expensive Typhus. Unless your so in love with his fluff you jus have to use him fo course.
Sorry, but I must have missed something. Which are your troop choice ? If you're not playing a nurgle lord (I.E. Fabius Bile), you'll need at least 2 CSM unit or a daemon unit to fit the standard org. chart. If you are playing a nurgle lord commanded army, then everytning is allright, but I would recommand that you buy more troop as CSM are great at everything and they cost less than specialised troops for mostly the same effect.
CHAOS Undiv.: won 14/22 games EC: 4/7 WE: 6/9 DG: 10/15, TS: 3/7 Orks : 13/20 SM NL : 1/6 TAU: 14 of 24 IG: 3/7
Let's clear a few things up -
Fabius Bile can be used in any army that allows the use of the Mark of Chaos Undivided. Because of this, he can't be included in Cult armies.
Typhus can only be used in Deathguard armies. He cannot be included in any form of Black Legion list.
Both count as a Lord choice. If you go with Typhus as your Lord, you won't be able to include the Obliterators. If you go with Fabius as your Lord, you will need to invest into atleast two units of Chaos Space Marines with no mark in order to fulfill your Troops Requirement. Another option is the use of Daemons.
With that out of the way, carry on.
I'd also like to add, that neither Fabius Bile, nor Typhus have to be used as Fabius Bile or Typhus. The Typhus model could simply be the aspiring champion in a squad of Nurgle Terminators (or a regular nurgle chaos lord in terminator armor) and you could use the Fabius Bile model as the leader of a power armor squad (though that'd probably be more of a stretch). I think to do either of these things you'd have to model them a bit differently than normal... maybe give Fabius a regular chaos space marine backpack and a bolter instead of the needle pistol and you could give Typhus a regular terminator power weapon and combi-bolter instead of the manreaper.
Just some ideas...
