Hey. im currently needing a lord for my army. He has terminator armour but i cant find a good terminator body without buying 20 pounds worth of terminators.
i did get another idea but the model hasnt got terminator armour on. It is the Inquisitor Coteaz Body from daemon hunters. anyway my question is would u be botherd if u came up against this model with some1 saying it was in terminator armour???
thanks alot for the help
Not really in a friendly game, but possibly more so in a more competitive game.
It could also be a little annoying if your opponent wounds him, thinking he has a 3+ save then you actually go and roll a 2. This could quite easily cause an in-game argument if your opponent isn't very good at remembering things.
I also believe that terminator armour looks much cooler than the regular power armour, but that’s just my opinion.
You might want to look for the body of Abaddon the despoiler, he's wearing termie armour and many chaos players choose his body.
If you are willing to wait for about 5 to 6 month we'll have a new chaos lord in terminator armour for the coming cityfight campaign this summer.
In a friendly game? No. Not in the slightest. Just be sure you point it out beforehand (During Deployment) and not when you start rolling your first armour save.Originally Posted by Retard
In a tournament game? Yes, I would be very bothered. That is power armour (or perhaps artificer armour) that he's wearing, not terminator armour. It doesn't even remotely resemble terminator armour. In a proper game like that, everything should be resembled appropriately.
Just as another suggestion, my Lord is the body of Fantasy Archaon and Obliterator legs. It took quite a bit of conversion work to make him fit correctly, but is quite big and very imposing. The best thing about him is that I can easily say he has either terminator armour or power armour as my mood allows, due to how the two different pieces look.
i agree with Caluin, it is good gaming practice to tell you opponant the details of each unit as you place it upon the board, it would be a good idea to have a printed army list to show the opponant to prove this.
what about using captian stern GK? i think that body is excellant for a ornate termie. it would take a large amount of modelling to produce a good chaos lord but it would be worth it.codex city fight! ahh i think this is what my red shirt friend has been teasing me about (he was going to tell me tonight what the big suprise was!) Lord in termie armour sounds excellant, is there a topic in the rumors section? If you are willing to wait for about 5 to 6 month we'll have a new chaos lord in terminator armour for the coming cityfight campaign this summer
Would it be feasible to convert a Lord and retinue of chosen aspiring champion terminators, out of a box of loyalist termies. I would have green stuff, and spare parts from the rhino + crew box set.

Yeah, they would be 154 for 4 with pfists not asps though. They can upgrade the power weapon for a fist or other options.
it is pretty feasbale to do that, would take some converting to get rid of all the corpse god icons but it would be worth it
Maybe you could try using the body of Lysander? he's a really cool terminator captian bloke.
hey thanks for the help and advice. ive decided not to go for that body seeing as ive put so much time into this army i wouldnt want to end up disputing if i ever do go into a tournement. just to let u no i decided to go against my original thoughts and buy the terminator box and convert out of that. ill let u no what it looks like in a few weeks or so when it and the rest of the army is finished.
