What do you favor when it comes to basic Chaos space marine units. Mounted in a rhino, on foot, or on foot with infiltrate?
Well I dont play word bearers but this question seems like it could apply to any chaos player. infiltrate is not used enough to actually be able to rely on it. So its right out. not using any transports leaves you a bit slow and can loose you some mission objectives but is very cheap and can support larger units. Transports give you a much greater tactical advantage but can get costly. I would suggest having at least 2 of the six and more like 4 of the six troop selections in transports and then have at least two troop choices too large to fit in the transports
Well the reason i wanted word bearer player's opinions is because they tend to have more daemons the everyone else and the basic squads i would assume are the main summoning units.
Well depends on how you're playing your Word Bearers.
You can have up to 9 troops slots so I would be inclined to take about 6 5-man CSM squads, 1 Bloodletter squad, 1 Daemonette squad and a squad of Infiltrating Raptors. Good shooty and the Bloodletter+Daemonettes can be summoned from the Raptors or the 5-man squads as either offensive or defensive CC.
Actually come to think of it..........
7x5 CSM,MoCU, Lascannon 630pt
2x10 Daemonettes 300pt
3x5 Raptors, MoCU, Infiltrate, 3 PlasPistols 195pts
1x10 Furies 150pts
Would fit nicely in 1.5k.
Except its not legal because of the three raptor squads but thanks for the tips.
