I played against this khorne player last tourny and beat him but I had a question abouthow fast you can make a greater demon and demon prince.
He said his 2 demons had a 6" regular move then a FoF move then demonic speed. He roll a bunch of dice and was able to charge me from 40" away? Does this so right or even possible?
I just want to know if I got lied to or if it can happen?
Thanks in advance ...
The combo is legal on the lord, but not if he was weilding the Berzeker glaive, or equiped in terminator armor. However, the best he could move is [6"] + [1"-6" (fleet)] + [12" (speed)]= 19"- 24" total Movement.Originally Posted by designer891
As for the GD, The berst movement mode they can get is Flight, which tops their movement out at [12" (Flight)] + [6" (Charge)] = 18".
The fastest foot troop that I know of is is the Dark eldar wyches, and they top out at 32" of total movement.
Based on your other post rules forum post, you really need to get your khorne friend to sit down and have a proper read through the codex and rules. If that fails, send him here, and we'll set him straight.

Yah I need to get the chaos codex ... I beat him pretty easily but some of the stuff he was doing seemed very unfair. At the time I couldn't argue I knew very little about Khorne and I didn't wanna argue all game since i was winning anyways.
The thing that sucks is he beat everyone in the tourny..it was me and him in the finals. I feel bad for the guys he beat and i wonder why nobody else complained.
I just read the codex, yeah this guy is wrong on alot of rules, he wasn't even rolling instability every turn for his greater demon. it is a wonder that i beat him...lol
Hmm, he only needs to be rolling for instability every turn if the Greater Daemon came in as a result of the vessel being killed rather then as the result of a possession roll, so that may have been ok. Still, 40 inches in a single turn is utterly ridiculous.
Thousand Sons ~2750 points | Eldar ~1000 points
Tzeentch Daemons ~2000 points
Hmmm... how about this. Say they are fleshhounds of khorne. The template is 5" across, IIRC, it can scatter up to 12", daemons can then move 6", maybe fleet 6" and then charge 12" for a grand total of 41" away from the icon that summoned them.
I don't have my models with me, so I am not sure the template is 5" across. And this relies on a staggering number of dice rolls going exactly the right way. But should be possible.
What say you guys? have I made an error or are these possibly the fastest unit in the game (when every dice roll is in their favor)? I don't claim the Khorne player was honest, but it seems a 40" charge is possible, however unlikely.
As for instability. Its actually rather rare that you have to roll for instability since you only have to do so if the daemon vessel is killed before you get to summon the daemon. Therefore people also favor daemon chains that give them more control over when the daemon appears.
If the radiance of a thousand suns
Were to burst at once into the sky,
That would be like the splendor of the Mighty One...
I am become Death,
The shatterer of Worlds.
What's the skill that deamons can get that gives them FoF? I didn't see how you get FoF and who can get it?
daemonic speed gives Fleet of Foot, move as cavalry. Normally people refer to daemon princes when they say demon on this forum but in this case flesh hounds have daemonic speed.
