i dont know what to do. i have inished my iron warriors army and its great and i'm looking for a bigger challenge and i thought fallen dark angels. huh what a great idea.i dont know what bloody color to paint them or how to make them.any suggestions?
I don't think an army of Fallen is such a good idea, as they tend to be loners, but if you must, I think they wear black armour. To make them, I don't know, normal Chaos Space Marine models I suppose, possibly with a few DA shoulderpads if you can get them.
Dress the same as Dark Angels, expect hav black armor.
The best way to make Fallen is to use the Dark Angels veteran sergeant models with the robes. They used to wear black armour with a white dagger painted on it(i don't know if THEY painted it on, but you do). These make for an expensive army cause those are all metal and somewhat rare models.
I have 12 and I am making them Slaanesh. I am going to tinge the light tan robes ever so slightly pink as they are ever so slowly being corrupted. Cypher is not though.
I would aslo use the Chaos rules, they are better than the SM codex, and sonce Cyoher is a CC badass I would give the squad CC weapons and tool them up.
If you are doing a whole fallen army I would make it similar to DA but using chaos rules. You know good shooty core squads, plenty of plasma, dreadnaught MAYBE, tank or two. Bikes would be sweet.
I guess there's no best way, there are alot of ways.
Thats how I was thinking of using my DA force for certain games - they are a force of DA who have been subtly corrupted/led astray by Cypher, if not actually turned to chaos completely.
Hive Fleet Fuzzy Bunny: Lots and lots of points of Nids (4000pts+)
The Chapter of the Damned: 5500pts of Dark Angels
The Children of Fulgrim: 5-6000pts of Emperors Children
The Kabal of the Bloodied Claw: 2000pts of Dark Eldar
I did the fallen army with all metal robe figures, my advice is don't. I used to lose a lot of player points for doing it, i never understood it as it looked nice on the board, and was fluff as it was mostly marines and consisted of a small elite force with mostly bolters and a vetern skills. I took a lot of flack for it and then rec'd an offer to buy it so i sold it. I painted the marines with black faded and battle worn battle damage and the robes were all red. I went with red as i really wanted the army to stand out.
40K-Beakies(9-14-4),Guard(4-7-2),Orks(34-12-11). FANTASY-Dwarves(15-6-7),Beasts (14-14-1), Skaven (17-17-10) DoC (6-1-2). CYGNAR (28-15-1)
I'd say it would be a good idea for a show case army or even as a small elite unit if you ever play a skirmish game. Although if you painted them up and used the rules of standard space marines it could work, although they would have to look like veterans. OR this is just me thinking out of the box the fallen angels think that they were abandoned by the emporer and lion el jonson (i think thats the right name) so wouldn't they try and abandon anything that liked them to these two superbeings, including their armour, using this argument it would then be possible to have a converted imperial guard squad using heavy muscled models to represent space marines without their armour, i would disagree with anyone who says this is impossible in a galaxy anything is possible.
