Welcome to LO. Post your army list in the lists forum and we'll have a look at it. Also which legion did you choose?
I'd say the next thing you should be getting is a few daemons.
Hmm not too bad of a start, I don't care for terminators, but that's really a personal choice rather than anything wrong with what you have. If you ask me I think you probably need some more bodies.
Some more chaos marines will really help your army be able to soak some more damage.
After that I would suggest some daemons, either Bloodletters or Daemonettes depending on wich you like best, they're both great.
Then I reccomend some more fire support in the form of a predator, or a tank hunting havoc squad with either missile launchers or autocannons.
Other than that make sure all of your chaos marine squads has an aspiring champion with a powerfist. Give meltaguns to all of your CC marines. Plasma guns are great on your ranged chaos marines. Also note that a lot of chaos players don't care for bolter chaos marines. They don't really fit standard chaos tactics. (there is nothing wrong with them however. I use them.)

Back from internet limbo, and glad to be here.
thanks for the tips,i posted my army in the forums.i always give my champs power fists.and about the havok squad i proyxed a havok squad twice once with two auto and two missle it did horrinle.now i did it again with two las and two heavy bolters that did much better.i have been thinking about buying some daemons can't decide between some daemonettes or letters.i play against vanilla marines necrons orks relicter chapter marines and another chaos army oh and tau and eldar.the auto cannon ap just dont work heavy bolters just work alot better for me.the necron player needs to be beat he's getting really fat headed.he never loses and he plays the orks so if you could give me any tips for killing the crons it would help.he has 6 destroyers the night bringer a lord a monolith 3 wraiths and of course 20warriors.
A tooled up daemon Prince could probably kill a heap of necrons. Daemonettes and bloodletters are good too. I personally plan on using some khorne possessed to deal with my necron friend.
So basically every other army, minus Imperial Guard. Gotcha. But the focus is on MEQs, that's important to know.Originally Posted by ChaosgodHeavy Bolters are designed to slaughter Infantry, while Autocannons are more of a light tank killer. When faced with a large amount of Skimmers (Landspeeder heavy Space Marines/Eldar) the Autocannons are perfect. They're also very good against Space Marine vehicles as they often don't have an AV of higher than 13.Originally Posted by Chaosgod
However, against the majority of the enemies you face, Missile Launchers are the way to go.Sounds like an extremely poor list to me. I'm amazed nobody can beat it. Take a large amount of AP3 weapons. Stay away from Vehicles. Necrons have an amazing ability to trash any and all vehicles, but any armour save of 4+ or better gives them fits. So, Missile Launcher Havocs, plasma guns in CSM squads.Originally Posted by Chaosgod
Ignore the Monolith and the Nightbringer as best you can. They're both there to eat firepower and intimidate you. Ignore them. Aim all your fire at the Warriors and Destroyers. Make sure you know exactly what his Phase Out value is. (It's seven, BTW.) Killing 23 Necron models isn't that difficult when you have the right weaponry.
Also note that on your havoc squads: It's best not to mix heavy weapons, they just are not as effective that way. If you're worried about versitility go with missile launchers, they're good for killing Marine's(and other av3 models), tanks, and the frag shot is good against hordes. Their only shortcomming is against av2.

It's not really a list; he's more asking advice on how to expand and do better rather then critique his army, but anyway.Post your army list in the lists forum and we'll have a look at it.
For your army, you need more troops. You have lots of big things, like the Lt, Lord, Terminators, and predator, but onoly 2 squads of normal marines. I'd suggest at least 1 more squad of regular marines before you get anything else for your army.
After that, if you wanted to stay undevided, you have lots of options- it's mainly up to you with what you want to get. There's many good units and lots of versitility in the Chaos army. Another option would be to pick a certain legion. For playing Necrons, you'll want to focus on phasing him out. Make sure he has that rule down. His list is quite vulnerable to phase out. Just focus on the Warriors and you should phase him out relativley easily. Beware of the Wraiths assaulting your heavy weapon squads. Its sometimes good to have a counter charge unit if you can afford it. Ignore the Night Bringer and Monolith. They are very slow, and if you can just avoid them they will do very little besides be a huge pt sink for your opponent.the necron player needs to be beat he's getting really fat headed.he never loses and he plays the orks so if you could give me any tips for killing the crons it would help.he has 6 destroyers the night bringer a lord a monolith 3 wraiths and of course 20warriors.
sorry my last 2 posts were at school where I get detention for getting caught but I have plenty of time to help now.
Ok against the nightbringer you will just have to ignore him. He's to big to tie down in cc and almost impervious to everything short of lascannons. Same goes for the monolith. Even if you have massed lascannons its better to point them at the wraiths for a guaranteed kill.
Against marines you cant really go wrong witth anything. If you like shooting then several chaos marine squads /w plasma gun, heavy bolter/autocannon. Caluin is a huge fan of autocannons so don't pay much attention to his advice. :shifty:
If you want assaulty then I would advise bloodletters or daemonettes. It is tough for the necrons to be able to stop these thing mowing through their ranks. Also khorne berserkers can dish put some pain against them. If you can try to outnumber them by heaps to get that -4Ld. A squad of 20 toasters running from assault=you win the game almost automatically.
Maybe an obliterator or 2 could help you. Powerfists and twin plasma guns could dish out some pain to MEQ's and they can change to slaughter IG and orks.
To build on your army get some daemons and a few god specific marines (whatever you like). Bulk out your army with a few more undivided marines and your well on your way to playing nice proper games.
