I've just noticed (that Codex is worse than taxation legislature!) that the whole squad of Cultists may be given Melta Bombs for quite a small fee.
A 10-man squad with MB's is only 80 points, and an infiltrating 5-man CSM squad with two Melta Guns is 95.
Even if half of it is wiped out by the enemy before they reach the vehicle, that’s 5 melta attacks! And they don't look like a high-priority target to enemy troops at all.
I haven't seen an army list using them in that role (all right, I've seen a couple). Is there a flaw in my idea, or am I just the third one to notice the possibilities?
I've tried those and they works relatively well as long as they are not the only target. Alone, they won't even reach the tanks. Hidden in a pack of Alpha legionaries that look dangerous, they will be more likely to reach their target and even be able to kill more than 1 tank.
