I didn't find this in the FAQ. But if a vehicle has both daemonic possession and extra armour does that make it immune to both crew shaken and crew stunned?
I'm playing an iron warriors army and have both a vindicator and a basilisk with parasitic possession. I am looking for a cool way to model them to represent that. I know that in the fluff it says that they look ramshackle...but I hate the idea of spending $40 or so on a model to try and make it look beat up and "ramshackle." So if anybody has some cool ideas please let me know. I'm stumped.
Another modeling question...do we have to do anything to represent indirect fire in terms of modeling. I would think not but just thought I should ask to make sure.
Do people usually give a Vindicator Dozer blades? I figured with the shorter range you are more likely to have to move it into range and if that is the case I would like to hide it in cover during deployment.
Yes, but that has nothing to do with Extra Armour. If you have DP on a vehicle, Extra Armour is simply a waste of points.Originally Posted by The Green KnightI think that usually falls under one of the things that doesn't need to be modeled. Awfully hard, I would think.Originally Posted by The Green KnightYes, all the time, and you nailed the reason why you should have a Dozer Blade on it.Originally Posted by The Green Knight
lol Caluin just gave the first slighlty unclear post in his life.
Daemonic possession makes you completely immune to stunning/shaken so no need for extra armour.
Usually my IG friend just tilts the gun on bassie up a bit to show its indirect and leaves it flat when its shooting straight.
Parasitic possession probably doesn't need to be represented but since your representing daemonic possession anyway just make it look evil and it should cover both of them.
I've never seen a vindicator in my life (none of my friends use them) but I'd say go with Caluin on this one.

If anyone wants any kind of help writing fluff for any kind of GW army just ask.
There was a beautifully done daemonic/parasitic vindicator (without dozer blade!) in a WD battle report. All the hatches were sealed shut, and the whole thing was wrapped in chains, the armour just looked strange, dented and semi-organic.Originally Posted by LordLink
I'd go for the slightly 'infected' look.. use liquid poly and green stuff to distort some of the clean lines and make it look a bit crappier. All in all, I'd guess it should look less clean and mechanical than one without the possession.
The most stunning DP I've ever seen modeled was on a TS Rhino. The player used plasticard to replace the treads so there were just hard plates on the bottom and mounted it on a flying base. He then hollowed it out and put a bright green LED inside that gave the model a spectacular glow emerging from underneath.
That sounds awsome (though Daemonic Possession on a Rhino doesn't make much sense as it can't be used as a transport anymore).
Thousand Sons ~2750 points | Eldar ~1000 points
Tzeentch Daemons ~2000 points
Wel it may just have been a fluffy modeling decision and not DP as you;re right, that would be silly. Still it was quite impressive.
