Hi, I would like to take a khorne lord, but also summon daemonettes. is it possible to put a mark of khorne on my lord, and a mark of slaneesh onto another unit (some space marines, for example). Or, for example, have a khorne lord and chaos undivided marine troops? Thanks in advance
Check out page 38 of the Chaos Codex. It has everything you need to know about how the different Marks work with each other.
To answer your specific question, no, you may not have a Khorne Lord and be able to summon Daemonettes. You could have an Undivided Lord and a Khorne Lt and still be able to summon Daemonettes, however.
thanks for the quick reply! Somehow, I missed that line about "...led by lords with..." on the page you mentioned the first 20 times i read it
While we are here, i have another question. in my frenzy to build a bloated, saturated super lord, i have run into a slight problem...is the axe of khorne 1-handed or 2-handed? I can't seem to find the specification, either in the listing under "Book of khorne" or the wargears section.
if it is 1-handed, and i take 1 axe and 1 other weapon, how do i decide which blows are from the axe, in order to determine whether i get bonus attacks or not?
Ah, and another question regarding marks..i had not realized that khorne and slaneesh were arch enemies, so in fact my desire for daemonettes was a special case..
can an army with a khorne lord have units with chaos undivided marks?
If you take a khorne lord you will be unable to take deamonettes. Make sure you get and read the codex several times (most vets prefer new players read the codex 3 or more times before asking questioins) and then ask questions. This will answer most your initial questions. Read page 38 under ancient enemies in the chaos space marine codex to answer you post.
Welcome to Librarium by the way.:w00t:
Edit: Well Caluin answered before me, but for your last two questions.
The axe of khorne is a one handed weapon. So you can take the axe and a bolt pistol to get one extra attack for two close combat weapons (you can take the axe and a powerfist but how to divide attacks in that case is above me).
For your last question yes you can take a marked lord and have undivided/nonmarked units.

originally, actually, i had planned on giving him an axe and lightning claws, but now i think i shall just give him a pair of lightning claws, since i've run out of points anyway. mainly i want the claws so that i can paint light coming out of it and shining onto the prince himself.
Don't sweat it. There will always be something new to find in the Chaos Codex, no matter how many times you read it. Take it from the guy who dreams about it.Originally Posted by nalrushIt is a one handed weapon.Originally Posted by nalrushAll attacks in a given Combat Round will come from one weapon. Black Legion armies have no restrictions other than the ones found on page 38, so you could have a Khorne Lord, some Undivided Troops, maybe some Oblits, and Nurgle Marked Havocs if you so desired. Just keep in mind everything on page 38, and you should be fine.Originally Posted by nalrush
