    I play Tzeench. I was looking at the codex today at thrals , are they any good? seems it, if there good whAt should I use for the moldles? plz let me know

    my friend did this with his emperors children lord, but bits order the girls from the dark eldar asdrubael vect, and use model boat chains to connect them to the guys armor. put bases on them and they drag niceley. it take a bit of skill, but is doable.

    1) Your either not english or you can't spell very good
    2) If you notice the bit saying Thrall Sorcerers cannot have ANY wargear then you'll see their true weakness. Shouldn't take the enemy long to bring a thrall sorcerer down...

    Well, I was asking if they where any good. And I figure that if you stick him with chozen, or another squad, that solves that problem. In case you didnt know there wounds and toughness have been switched so now they hav T3 W1

    If you use them with Aspiring Champions then they will survive for quite a while, and when you get into CC you can unload your bolts of change on them with the thralls.

    There is one really mean combo with a thrall:

    Nine thousand sons in a rhino, including an aspiring champion with power fist, close combat upgrades, wing of chaos and a thrall.

    They jump out of the rhino, the sorceror casts wind of chaos twice (thus killing a lot of stuff), they rapid fire the target unit, and charge it. The few survivors usually can&#39;t stand against 16 power armoured meat shield wounds and a aspiring champ with mean playthings.

    BTW, TS aren&#39;t that bad in close combat (at least with the new assault rules). I have seen a 8 man death company plus chaplain bouncing off a squad of TS more than once...even without gift of chaos.

    Remeber tho, the aspiring champ has normal initiative. If he can unload his bolts of change/doombolts on them, there goes half the squad.

    With the new assault rules, sweeping advance doesn&#39;t exist anymore anyway.
    Squad characters got an enormous boost, and especially thousand sons have mean characters.

    For example you can cast wind of chaos twice, and then slaughter the survivors.
    You can cast gift of chaos and eliminate enemy characters with annoying power fists (only very few armies can pick off characters, almost none can do it in close combat&#33.

    TS can unload their bolters twice before charging, other armies can fire only once. That&#39;s better than a charge bonus attack.
    Then you have that mean asp champ with 3+ power fist attacks (he still gains the charge bonus attack unless he shoots, he also can use daemonic mutation...). That guy is protected by 16 wounds in power armour...

    In a fight of a 8 man death company including chaplain, the TS squad has a decent chance to win - and a squad which beats such a death company can&#39;t be too bad in close combat, can it?
