Ok, I've decided to hold a map-based campaign on the planet Dranzon VIII (My own design) and I would like some help. First of all i'll just tell you what I have so far.
The Rules are simple, it uses a map-based system where you place a counter once per turn on a territory adjacent to you. If you have heard about the Warhammer studios cityfight campaign on Vogen will know what I'm doing. I have ideas forhow it will start and all.
First you haev around 10 starting locations. Each player secretly writes down where they would like to start. If an evil and good army choose the same location then you battle to see who gets it. Then the loser gets the left over locations. Each location has a points value and the winner is the player with the most points. There is a twist where in the last match each race has a secret objective and whoever wins the last battle in the main arena has their objective fullfilled with a special follow on mission.
It will use the Battle Honour system found on pages 242-249 in the 4th Warhammer 40k rulebook.
Each army will gain an extra 200 points for a character that is not used in the 2000 point armies that we use. So you can't beef up squads. So maybe a charcter with a retinue that leads that armies campaign. I play chaos so I need a good chaos lord, lieutenant and retinue, whatever based on Khorne. If you can help it would be much appreciated.
You have 2000 point armies.
That's the rules and the basics and I'll be sending out a leaflet to all the players. I don't have many at the moment and very little evil armies.
Any help is appreciated.
sounds like a good idea to me. 200 pts on characters might be a bit much as your speaking from a chaos lords points of view. Can you imagine an eldar farseer or necron lord trying to add on 200 pts. Of course if none of your friends play these then I guess its fine for marines and chaos.
if you want more in-depth help show us the map and some special bonuses for holding certain areas.
I wonder what forum Caluins gonna move this to...
Check out my Codex: Farmyard Animals here!
If anyone wants any kind of help writing fluff for any kind of GW army just ask.
It also includes a retinue so maybe a cheap seer council or the such. It's just meant to be the leader they may not fight every engagement until the final fight. thanks for the help.Originally Posted by LordLink
