If i add a HQ to a unit of 5 terminators, does that make a squad of 6... thus allowing me to take a free aspiring campion, and 2x reaper autocannons?
Is this legal?
Chaos Lord in Terminato Armour.
Free Aspiring Champion in Terminator Armour
3 Chosen Terminators
2 Chosen Terminators with Reaper Autocannons
If the Terminators are his retinue, then you can have the free Champion. If they're just a normal squad that the IC is attached to, then no.
Page 38 of the Chaos Codex for the reference.
However, the Lord/Lt. does not count for the purposes of the Reaper Autocannon/other special weapons. You'll need to have the correct amount of Chosen to have multiple weapons.
And why would you get the free AC? Is this slaanesh?
I've heard some people say the lt/HQ count twoards the sacred number. I've heard say people say they don't. I have yet to see a difinitive/official answer.
There once was a Lord named Vlad,
Who's fighting skillz really were mad.
He killed and he maimed,
He spilled blood in Khorne's name.
And the fact that he's legal makes me glad
(special thanks to Uriel Zarium for the last line/touching it up)
Most things are in the most obvious spot like the daemon weapons question. It's right above them.
So IC's do count cause that's what i'm getting?
Its good to see im not the only one who missed this... But the section on page 38 does clear it up nicely... And it makes sense now that fact that it says "every third chosen..." And Sense the IC is not a chosen it would not count tword that number.
It does count if the IC is part of their squad, e.g the lords retinue = 7 + Lord means a free AC for Khorne.
Sorry, I was getting the idea he was talking about favoure dnumbers and free upgardes.
