    Chaos and your opponents?

** I started a poll like this in the Necron board and I think it would be interesting to hear the same thoughts on other armies **

You announce that you will be playing your Chaos.

What are some of the common statements you hear from your opponents?

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Those of you without a Chaos force chime in as well on the Poll.

You look accross the table and see the Chaos massing for assault.

What are you thinking when you see Chaos lining up against your prize army?

In the few short months that I've played chaos, I have to say that the most common response is that people expect: A) an easy victory, and cheat/cheese
mainly because a LOT of the players around where I play are the younger kids that get swayed by the allure of the power of chaos and either cheese out their army(lord- "OMG, my lord is 250pts!!, he is teh rules!" )accidentally cheat, or just are inexperienced tacticians.
W/D/L Eleventy trillion billion/NONE/ NONE - I am STILL rulezor!
WINDMILLS DO NOT WORK THAT WAY!

It is VERY easy to cheat with a Chaos force when you are not trying too. Their rules and specials can get very complicated.

I'm not sure any players in my club roll over when an army is put down, but I sure everyone here knows how powerful chaos can be and reacts accordingly.

DOn't mean to brag, but I have only been defeated once in my play group, and that was because it was a 2 on 3 (1000 X 3 Vs. 1500 X 2) and I got paired with an incompetent player. Seriously, everyone in my group except for one person dreads facing me. This is prolly because I have ALOT of inexperienced players in my group.

My army is pink.. noone fears a pink army.

I almost always field a keeper of secrets, which gets some looks in small games, but even then, the only person whose actually called me cheesy was a guy who insisted on charging her with his seriously overtooled black templar marshall, despite me actually advising him not to.

My army has strong bits, it has weak bits.. Most of the good players I've played have worked them out pretty well.

I personally play 750 We but everyone, I mean everyone yells cheese when I put my Statured lord down at about 180 points.

I mean the GW employees tried to ban this model out of my games and wouldnt let me use it. When I played my friend the GW employee took over when "helping him" and then screamed cheese for the rest of the game.

I used to get a fair bit of stick for my pink army, but now it's generally feared (having my Lord annihilate 3 squads of Tau by himself in CC, not to mention a squad of Necrons and Dreadaxing a Seer Council).
Hive Fleet Fuzzy Bunny: Lots and lots of points of Nids (4000pts+)
The Chapter of the Damned: 5500pts of Dark Angels
The Children of Fulgrim: 5-6000pts of Emperors Children
The Kabal of the Bloodied Claw: 2000pts of Dark Eldar

You have got to love proving people wrong who act all up themselves. It's the best part of the hobby. That or smashing them to a plp and then realising their list was 500 points over the limit.

I havent even started playing chaos and I got ask what army was I going to play and said chaos. I kid you not the first response I got was...so you going directly for the cheese army. I hate steriotypes. Although around here we are just starting WH 40K, but played Fantasy, so I can see where they are coming from.
