OK I am short on money atm, and wanted to convert soem current marines over to slaanesh chaos. My questions are, is it ok if they dont look chaosy? I know red corsairs just have a red X through their chapter symbols, but I dont know what god they follow under, if any at all.
you could just try if your good enough and dont cut yourself much to shave of the eagles on theri chest plates and anytihng else just use some chaos bits to make them look chasoy on the future and of cuorse paint over the chapter symbols if you can in slaneesh colors and try to keep their heads in helmets cause slaneesh marines have pretty messed up heads and there arent any marine heads i know of that you can use for them im sorry if im not right i beleive i am tough and good luck may the gods of chaos be with you!
It doesn't think, it doesn't feel,
It doesn't laugh or cry.
All it does, from dusk 'till dawn,
Is make the soldiers die.

I'm not sure about tournament play, but for most games it should be fine provided you've made some effort to make them look chaos, and they aren't still painted in ultramarine colours.
As chaosgod says, try and shave off the imperial symbols.
Personally though, I'd save up and get some seperate models. It's not like EC are going to be made illegal unless you start playing them in the next month, and it saves you destroying a perfectly good marine army.
The red corsairs are generally represented using the alpha legion or black legion lists, and seem pretty undivided. I guess you could do slanneshi red corsairs, but they'd have to be a splinter group or warband..
I believe the defilers (the rogue marines with a bright blue colour scheme) are also predominantly slannesh worshippers. Though I'm not sure why.. I think I heard someone say it once.

What I did to convert SM into Possessed CSM, is basically took a knife and hacked at the symbols. I wasn't trying to cut them off, but now it actually looks like there was a symbol there, but the marine has scoured it from their armour.

Basically I wanted to take my current chapter and have them been corrupted by chaos, or something. I do eventually want to get chaos marine models but cant afford that ontop of the few boxes of daemonettes i need to pick up.
I've founding mixing chaos and normal space marine sprues to be really effective.
It lends them a lot of character, and you get a decent variety of weapons - lots of plastic plasma guns.
For the best effect, Black templar sprues with CSMs work an absolute treat, I can't go on about this enough.
