Right, I've just got the 40k rulebook and am reading through it. I've read all the movement/shooting and most of the assault (about to page 50) and so far I have found one question:
If you move a squad with say 4 cc/pistols and 1 heavy bolter 6", the heavy bolter is not able to fire. But are the pistols (once), if they are in range?
Also, do you pronounce Kai Gun: Kay Gun or Ky Gun?
Yes the pistols can fire but the heavy bolter can't, you've got it right.
Personally I pronounce it kaj.

Long ago there was something in me, but now that thing is gone,
I cannot cry, I cannot care, that thing will come back no more.

The pistols will be able to fire. In fact, you can even assault if you didn't fire the heavy weapon (or a rapid fire weapon or two pistol shots, but that's besides the point).
I pronounce Kai Gun Ky Gun.
Thanks Dakar and Zartas

I'm not sure what "Ky" or "Kay" sounds like, but the way me and my friends pronounce it, it winds up rhyming with "eye".
Ky rhymes with eye
Kay rhymes with g.. um, say
Yeah its Ky or Ki as in that positive ching and chang thing.
I though that was how to pronouce it. Thanks all. Please lock.
