Im new here and ive got question about the defiler. i recently puchased this item and ive got it standing ready for destroying things, but i read the codex about the arm with the spikey wires and i dont know what difference it gives to the defiler. i want to know what it does. or what it doesnt do.
Go to the armoury section and look up Living Vehicle under vehicle upgrades
Firstly welcome to LO, now for your question...Originally Posted by lee2by4
When you mention spikey wires I guess your referring to the Living Vehicle upgrade, it give's you extra attacks in the shooting phase ( p20 of the codex for full rules)
''It begs the question; why would the emperor permit something quite so dangerous and untamed to exist? And that would be to take down another Space Marine Legion."
out of interest, are there any tacitas or threads about how to use Defilers properly? I'm in the middle of constructing one and would like to make sure i construct him with the most combat effective combination.
I don't think there is a tactica on Defilers but the best combination is how it is orignially. It does incredibly well without upgrades (unless you want it dedicated). The only thing that makes the deal even sweeter is the Indirect fire. Hide and shoot. WHEEEEEE!!!!
Thanks! That's great.
Also wheeeeeeeeeeeee apparently.
Of course wheeeeee. Watch that battle cannon wipe out entire squads, then and only then will you understand wheeeeee.Originally Posted by Karmoon
Id be careful not to get too over confident. Ive seen some gamers use a defiler, take out a few squads and then caught in the moment turn it on a terminator squad and think, YES! BYE BYE TERMINATORS! Only to find out the terminators still get their 2+ save
